Hey guys,
so I installed the Pioneer Avic-F90BT in my SB last weekend, and it was so slow with the 1st gen firmware, that I made it
a priority to find and conquer the 3.0 update....Which i`m told Pioneer is charging $160.00 for:eek:

I finally with much patience got it on a 2GB sd card and got it to take.

The unit is now soooo much nicer than before, way faster in responding to commands and so on..And the map update too, is :)

By the way this upgrade will also work on the 700 and 900BT

if any of you need help with yours let me know

You need an additional box that gets programmed to translate the steering wheel controls to the Pioneer remote commands through the plug in the back.

I never updated mine.

I think John should bring the update with him and install it for me next month.

I bought the Pac-SWI-PS it was a 3 wire hookup power, ground and white wire (signal) to pin 18 on the factory plug,in just a few minutes I had my volume and track up and down working perfect.
Local stereo shop wanted $200.....The unit from a local wholesaler was 40 bux and the feeling of self gratification is priceless..The trickiest part is taking apart our dash without damaging it ..
