Rear Main Seal Oil Leak

Well I brought my Marauder in for its recommended oil change but had noticed several drops of oil on the garage floor. It was diagnosed as a 'Rear Main Seal Oil Leak'. It is going in tomorrow for this warranty repair. They say it takes approximately 11 hours to fix this. Has anybody out on our forum experienced this?
By the way, the mileage is 13,333.

I thought I had a rear main leak. Like yours, I had a few drops on the garage floor. They tightened the bolts on the oil pan and so far.....no more drops on the floor. You might have them check this first. Good luck.

FWIW, my '87 T'Bird needs the seal, also. $480 in labor to replace a $12 part. Ouch.

Trans has to be dropped back to get to the seal. It's a labor intensive job...
