Is there an advantage to putting the MM on a Dyno to program the xcal opposed to using Lidio's or Dennis' preprogrammed tunes? $200 worth?:help:

What are your current mods?
You might be able to squeeze out a little more power (not much) than the canned tunes but the price for dyno tuning wouldn't be worth it unless you have full exhaust with shorties or long tube headers.

In My opinion, $200 is worth a custom Dyno tune....... PROVIDING your tuner knows what he is doing with a Marauder.
These guys can only do so much without seeing how YOUR car is. With that, some of these guys do an absolutely AMAZING job tuning from afar.

If you're completely stock, a canned tune from either Lidio or Dennis will make a big difference in your car, and IMO well worth the money.
If you find a good dyno tuner down Myrtle Beach way that knows Marauders, let me know.
FWIW, knowing how to tune Mustangs doesn't automatically translate in to knowing how to tune a Marauder... my :twocents: ;) -----> :D

^^^^ agreed.
Also as Ctrlraven said above, if you don't have extensive mods, the cost of the dyno is not going to be far off the "bought"/canned tunes.

A dyno tune will be more precise. All cars are different eventhough they came off the same assembly line.

+1 to all of this only difference for me was simply price but I wish I couldve had lidio tune it in person!

I wish I could find a good mechanic..still looking:help: 1 guy does dyno tuning, mostly trucks...doesn't seem anxious to work on MM (won't change rear gears) He is an SCT dealer,so 400 for xcal(retail price) plus 200 for dyno tune..$600...which is reason for original question

$200 for a dyno tune seems very reasonable. I was quoted $400 for a dynotune from an SCT dealer and I already have the XCAL. For $400 I'm looking at around 2-3 hours of time. Is the 200.00 just "one pull" ??

Just a thought, why not get an x-cal from DR or Innovative Interceptors (Lidio tune), run that and see how you like it. You can always spring for a dyno tune after you've purchased your x-cal.

It's not really needed until you change from the stock manifolds to shorties or longtube headers since they will alter the AFR.
