Your winter get-a-ways.

I've been to 5 of the 11 listed, a couple of them more than once. I'd like to go back and visit in this order:
1.) Malta
2.) Majorca, Spain
3.) Rhodes, Greece
4.) Corfu, Greece
5.) Sardinia, Italy

Other kickass islands I can remember are Cyprus and St. Thomas. I should write down all the places I've been before old age sets in and I start to lose my memory, or before old age sets in and I start to lose my memory.

So, Casey you've been on a Med Cruise, I heard that was the best duty in the Navy. Being in the Corps, we always wished our squadron would be called to participate. And Adak, Alaska the worse.

Had a chance to go on a Med cruise but would have had to extend to do it...wish I had now.:(

I've been pretty lucky lately as work usually has me in Alabama for the worst of the winter. I usually get Thanksgiving to New Years off in Rhode Island, which is good because it is the best part of the winter IMHO. I do recall one bad winter when I spent Nov. through Jan. in North Perry OH and Feb. through mid April in Oswego NY.

I had to go to Groton, CT for 4 days once. I had to co-ordinate a few things for 7 submarines. It was the coldest place I have ever been in my life. The first day was beautiful scenery wise, but then a couple feet of snow buried everything the next day around noon. I never want to go back.
