Alright, this thread is a total ripoff from mercurycougar.net. Let's list all of the auto museums that are near us or you know of. This way we can go visit if we're ever nearby. I'll start:

www.blackhawkmuseum.org (http://www.blackhawkmuseum.org) in Danville, CA

There's one in Las Vegas at the Imperial Palace on the strip http://autocollections.com/ (very high dollar machines there) and another one in Tallahassee Florida http://tacm.com/ (it's in a new location, sounds bigger than the old place since it has banquet rooms, it has some very rare cars). Also Don Garlits' place in Ocala Florida http://garlits.com/ (there are actually two museum buildings, one is antiques the other is drag racing).

I knew of many places thanks to the mc.net thread. Part of the purpose of this thread was audience participation, and the other part poster discovery. If I really just wanted to post the list I would'vei done that. I was hoping people work chime in on their own though...

I did! That Wiki list is pretty short for the U.S. though... we have more museums than that in Indiana alone.
