Hi Peter:
The following is the generic email I send to everybody that emails me. I currently have 4 people wanting to buy “all deals are on the table” willing to accept first person with the money. I am located at QEW & ERIN MILLS.

The MARAUDER is in the shop getting certified. I am fixing the electrical short in the lights and the brake cylinder.
The car cannot be viewed until Tuesday sometime.

Bob

In the last 12 months,
1. I have been laid off from my job of 35 years.
2. I have had my radiation treatment for cancer.
3. I have had problems keeping my finances in order.

But everything is looking better,
1. I have been accepted at SHERIDAN COLLEGE for a January 2011 start date in the PAPALEGAL PROGRAM.
2. My PSA #’S are going in the right direction – down.
3. My wife and I are selling our home to help finance my education and bring my finances in order.

But we need a new vehicle. It is time to let somebody else enjoy the car.

I will also selling/transferring the vanity plate with the marauder. “MR AUDER”

My MARAUDER purchased new, has never let me down.

MECHANICAL
· Tick, tick in the engine (for the last 25,000 kms ?
· Right rear brake cylinder has a leak BEING REPAIRED NOW.
· Air conditioning not working

ELECTRICAL
· Radio works intermittent, antenna problem?
· Running lights (turn signal, head lamps, dash lights) just died yesterday. No money to fix unknown problem (fuse?) BEING REPAIRED NOW.

Body Cosmetic

· Normal wear & tear
· Couple of stone chips on hood
· Black CLEARCOAT paint is not a colour that I would get again on a car, but it shines up well.
· Left wheel well ($500-750 body damage) not really noticeable
· Rear window tint needs redo
· Snow tires are good
· Summer tires are good
· Mag wheels are good

Oh yes just passed e-test (September 2010) good for 2 years. Also should be no problem to certify. I am having the car certified.
My suggestion is bring it to your mechanic during daylight hours and let them judge if it has value for you.

I would like to sell within in the next 7 days to co-ordinate getting another vehicle.

At FORD CANADA, I already verified will give me $3300.00 Retire-Your-Ride program on my new car.

I am going to copy/paste this email to all the email inquiries.

As they say 1st come, 1st served. I am available during the day and night.
I have 4 offers on the table.
Marauder is available to view anytime after Tuesday October 19th, 2010 when car is ready

I will try to post/send pics Tuesday.
PS: I am at home now.
Cheers ,

If you can only afford a worn out Marauder, buy a pristine CV or Gr Marquis from someones grandparent. Save the repair money and in a year or two buy a pristine Marauder.

Agreed - 175Km's is quite high, especially when there's already indications of mechanical wear in the engine (ticking noises, etc.)

The money is better invested in a nicer Marauder. They're gonna try to squeeze someone for 6K on this car, it won't go for 4K.

175000 kilometers = roughly 108000 miles. I just rolled 101k on my car and it looks and runs fine.

For $4000, if was in okay shape and I was in the market, hell yeah.

For 4,000 I would do it. Especially if you already have one marauder that way you can take your time on some minor TLC to the car. Or just not woory about it any use it as you winter beater as I see your from up north.

If you really really want the car and it checks out...........

I'd verify his offer from Ford then offer him a $100.00 over that price.

Mechanical & Electrical: NEEDS WORK!!.

Engine bay fire with electrical?
Cracked block + bent valves?

Find out exactly what "needs work" means..

Edit: for $4,000 you could part it out.

There's nothing wrong with high miles as long as the car is taken care of.

Seller mentions headlamp problem(possibly LCM, easy fix for a DIYER) and a noise that had been in the engine for 25Km(15.5K mi), apparently not a catastrophic issue...

Unless I was maybe buying it for a beater, the deal breaker for me would be rust, I won't touch a winter driven northern car...
