Incredible....didn't touch the brakes!.....Never underestimate the stupidity and lack of skills in other drivers.

I think the driver made it. You see some guy run over to the left median towards the end of the clip. I think that was the driver getting out of the car and running!

Actually, looks like they did hit the brakes, but only when the car was impacting the barrier. You can see the third brake light turn on easier during the slow motion part right about 0:28 in the video.

Pretty lame-ass construction setup, I think. Around here it would've been lit up much better than that, and probably had one of those impact barrier trucks parked in front of it with lights flashing. Even if you're not trying to protect the idiots on the road, you've got to protect the workers better than that.

The second person was in the car that was parked there.

Needs more jersey dividers or perhaps a ramp would be better. wow.
I bet that crew comes up with a better barrier design next time!

That dude is beyond extra crispy and I'm thinking it was intentional. Kind of hard to miss the whole barricade, lights, all of the other cars keeping left, etc. Also, the no brake thing may be a hint.

MY TAKE: A poor set up indeed. The car to the left has damage to the right front tire area and the baricade seems to have been pulled out to protect the first car (note emergency flashers in operation), the driver / occupants / witness / worker (s) are looking at the first car when speedy comes along and opens all lanes. The 2nd car did hit the brakes, but with the absence of proper "funneling" of traffic lanes and the remaining lanes only "partially" open (see inside 2 lanes closest to crane) this appears to have been a rather quickly put together situation, possible an emergency repair. Whatever the preamble to this was, it was poor in design.

....and I agree with Marty, the only thing the driver of the 2nd car made it to was his maker.

I see that he/she hit the brakes as the first set of barricades were hit.....and I agree, the maker was met :(
