I was wondering if anyone here has installed the Cloyes adjustable cams (Part# S790HP9) and if they were happy with them, are there any gotchas. Thanks.

The only problem with those is an immense amount of dyno time to see only a few HP gain.

Cams are not stock and need to be advanced. Figured this is the easiest way to get closest to 106 LC without filing the dam keyway.

Looks like you already bought them. Did you look at the TFS ones?

Well if you have aftermarket cams then by all means pull the trigger, Cloyes makes excellent valve train products.

I just realized, those are crank gears in the pic, but, the part number for the secondary (intake) cam gears is correct!

So does Todd (NA_SVT). :D I'm just being redundant. Was hoping someone here had done it to an MM.

None that I know of have used them. One question, are they billet? Might be a good gear for some of the high power cars, as I've heard of at least a couple of the OEM gears breaking.

I'll see if I can find out. Todd pointed these out:

Hey Brian S. They are billet:
"All of our sprockets are machined from
premium billet steel on our state-of-the art
CNC equipment. Special care is taken
to tolerance critical features (bore fitment,
keyway fitment, timing angle, etc.) for each
high performance sprocket manufactured.
All sprockets are then induction hardened
and oil-quenched using our in-house multistage
heat treat process."
