Had to have the HughesNet technician out to the house, as we lost satellite link. Didn't take long for him to find the problem, which was a bad cable from the dish to the house. What caused the "fouled" cable you ask? Well it appears that the system installers two years ago, just laid the cable just under the grass line. So, what caused the line short you ask? Well apparently the odds were against me as I sliced and diced the cable last week when I was aerating the yard. Have lucked out til now since I've been aerating the yard 3 times a year since we moved in 2 years ago. We put the new cable a foot down this time.
