View Full Version : Pops & Hack go to SSHS
We left South Haven, Mi. at 7 this morning. Stopped tp pick up coffee and Hack dumped half his on the floor at the gas station! We plan on making it to Knoxville today. We aare going to do the Tail of the Dragon on Thursday. Next stop on the way down will be Fair Oakes Farm in Indiania.

We are on the byppass going around Indianapolis now. We will be going past Seymoure, Ind before to long and then thru Louisville. Hack is busy complaining about the truckers!:mad:

Passed a dairy truck in Indiania from the Butt Dairy Farm! We are on I 64 east of Louisville now. Passed the Hampton from the spring meet a while ago. Knoxville should be late this afternoon. Then its quit for the day. Tail of the dragon on Thursday.

Hack how are you putting up with John? He must be terrible company knowing that he does not have a car to punish. I bet he didn't help with the spilled coffee either. And no one to talk to, just the web site. Hang in there guys and please be safe.
WE are driving good Sherman. I am riding and Paul has driven all day. 90 miles to Knoxville. Thats were we will stop for the night. We have been in overcast skies and light rain for a long time.
About 40 miles from Knoxville and at the Hampton Inn. Going for barbeque later. Oh yeah its a dry county! They voted to overturn the dry part yesterday in the town.

We are at the Holiday Inn Express in Commerce. My phone number is 269 214 8869 if you are around. We will be out for a long ride on Friday if anyone is here early enough. We will be going to the Mexican rest next to the Holiday Inn on Friday nite. I have a suite here so the party can move to my room.;)

Hack and I are on the road headed back to Michigan. We left a little before the event was over and managed to beat the football traffic. We will be home on Sunday afternoon with no problem. Have had a great time this trip even though I have no car to race. Seeing all of my friends more than made up for it!:)
For those of you that have not come to SSHS all I can tell you is you are missing a great time and missing make new friends! The friendship is whats this is all about.:) For the rest of us that broke berfore hand next year will bring the fun back! We had Marauder guys make first ever runs and others itching to try out the new found S/C power! :burnout: Start planning now for next year! Sherman you owe me a race when we get our acts together!:beer:

Wish I could have been there, John. Will plan to make it next year.
We just passed the Corvette museum in Bowling Green. We have been on the road for a little over an hour and the sun is rising. No coffee stop yet as Hack is on a roll driving. We should be home around 3 PM. Its been kinda weird riding as Hack as done all the driving on this trip!:cool:
Just made it thru Indy. Next stop in an hour or so mwill be Fair Oakes Farm again. We should be back to my house by 3 this afternoon. Its been a good trip and I am lucky to have Paul to travel with. Plus you guys get to see his pictures!:)

I sure did miss being at the event with all of you. Glad that all are safe. Sorry for the bad times for some. John, my friend, I owe you more than a race. Hack, can't wait to see your pics and videos, they are always winners. I haven't opened up my block yet so don't know what the furture holds. Oh well, see you all later.

John, hope you had a safe trip back. It was great to see you again. Thanks for all you advise on Saturday;). After 5 yrs of going to" John's School of Racing" it's starting to pay off. I did make one more pass at the end with Gary and it ran 12.178 @ 112.63 w/ a 60 of 1.810. The car just keep getting faster all day long. Thanks again for all your help and friendship
