Good news:
Democrats lost control of the House!...in a BIG way!
PELOSI....:puke:.....is NO longer the Speaker!....
I'm so glad that I won't have to look at that frozen smiled beatch anymore!
I'm actually looking forward to gridlock on the Hill...
as no action is far better than the drunken spending spree that these idiots have been on recently.
Bad news:
Harry Reid survives for yet another 6 year term...:(
WTF is wrong with the voters in Nevada???...:dunno:
Good news:
Obama has to actually listen to, and consider, the voices of (at least half) of America's citizens.
Bad news:
California, the always wacky & retarded State, has elected Jerry Brown!...:mad2:
Hope all you suckers in California enjoy your converted-to-electric Marauders!

What ??? No mention of Martin O'Malley? How about the Casino coming to a location near you? Time to set up another CAM Meet. :D
Looks like I won't know who my Congressman -- VA, 11th CD is for a couple weeks. :( Connolly and Fimian are locked in a dead heat.
Yep....no one in Maryland seems to remember that as soon as OWE'Malley got elected, he raised the State sales tax to 6%....:mad2:
Time to sell our house, as we are only about 2 miles from that already ridiculously crowded Mall....
and now we get a Slots casino in the parking lot!....:mad2:
I love how all the slots casinos are being approved and built at the horse racing tracks....NOT!.....like they were supposed to be!
The old political "Bait & Switch" works everytime with stupid voters!....

Calofornia is just hopeless electing Jerry Brown. There are a lot of good people there but evidently not near enough. At least Pelosi is gone. She will lose her taxpayer funded jet and have to ride the bus home. GO GREYHOUND!

As I remember when Clinton left, the staffers messed with all the keyboards on the computers removing one of the keys. This crowd could epoxy all the toilet seats down.Legislatively maybe raise taxes.

Well Joe…I too share your sentiments relative to the far left remaining in power…however to call all of us California wacky is a grave injustice. After all, 99% of these nut cases actually immigrated from your neck of the woods!
Now they just continue to propagate both in and out of office.

Last night's election was America showing Obama and his left wing friends what "CHANGE" really means!
Now if only someone on the Hill had the cojones to introduce this Bill:
Congressional Reform Act of 2010
1. Term Limits.
12 years only, one of the possible options below..
A. Two Six-year Senate terms
B. Six Two-year House terms
C. One Six-year Senate term and three Two-Year House terms
2. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately.
All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
8. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.
The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen.
Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.
Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career.
The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

WTF is wrong with the voters in Nevada???...:dunno:
I can answer this one.
First off, he was running against a lunatic.
Second, the results were fairly close exept in one catagory. He destroyed her when it came to getting the minority votes. That blows my mind considering Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the US and the highest number of foreclosures in the US. Those two things historically affect minorities the worst. So why did they vote to keep him in? I'm leaning towards his being illegal immigrant friendly. Plus, he was running against a lunatic.

I just listened to the President's news conference for over an hour. He will not change a thing. :mad2: He will blindly move forward on his policies. He's out of touch with reality.
The next two years will be hopeless for our country. The only good news is that the Reps will stop any more reckless spending or drive toward a socialistic society as well as stop any more tax increases.
Sad times for America. :bigcry: I hope the American voters are smarter in 2012 - they sure blew it in 2010.

I hear you guys. I'm upset that most in NY are idiots for voting in liberal DEMS.
Still don't know if Buerkle (25th NY R) won!
I was really hoping Harry (let free loading illegals in) Reid would have been defeated.
I was also upset that Barney (crash the housing market) Frank stayed in..
A lot of good happened. I was especially happy that everywhere the "anointed one" went his plan to help the local DEM backfired!

AWESOME!!! Russ Feingold got canned!! I've meet the guy before and even shook his hand. I asked him some questions at a "town hall" type event once and he actually lied to me. What a weasel.
I agree with Glenn though. I doubt much, if anything, will change. I mean if Obama can say the election of Scott Brown (Republican) was a "result of peoples frustrations over the last 8 years", he's got to be the most clueless person alive! I mean really, when was the last time you got so frustrated with a Ford that you went out and bought a Ford? After that he should have dropped Obama care like a bad habit and maybe his party wouldn't have gotten so badly creamed. Absolutely clueless.
Even after last night he still hasn't got the message.

Just look north, NYS is still a screwed up mess with the coming of The Son of Cuomo, God help us... Hang onto any firearms you may currently legally own, for now anyway. :help::help::help:
Well, at least if he pulls a Spizter we get a upstate Governor not controlled by NYC for the 1st time that I can ever remember. Now that would be an interesting scenario.... Rochester where the Lt Gov is from, is so far from NYC that it might as well be in another state. Totally different worlds.

I like term limits because it in essence takes the power of the vote away from the representatives home court. Ted Kennedy got elected a bazillion times because he showed Massachusetts voters the money. Why would they vote him out. Term limits would put every state on a more even money keel.
I would suggest instead of two year terms for the House they be four year terms (up to 3) thus giving the congress person a chance to do something before they need to start raising money to run again. These two year terms are to distracting. Like Fonzie said "Every time I get the ice cream truck up to 50mph I've got to stop for some kid waving a dime"
I also think we need a strong third party that can compete.

To our founding fathers government was a necessary evil. Read the book, Signers of the Declaration and you will notice that nearly all the guys that were reps to anything would go do a 1 or 2 year stint and then go home. Some went longer but most just jumped in and out to help not to make a living off the people, they had jobs and did not need support. Now a days we have all these lifers who get reelected because they hand out candy like it's Oct 31st all year.
Don't get too excited about the pubs going in because IMNSHO it is not about what they will do, but what they can stop. They will not roll back anything. If they do I will be completely and utterly surprised because there are still too many establishment pubs that have grown to like DC way too much.
Even Jim Demint has already said they are going to have to vote to raise the debt ceilling :(

So........when are YOU running?
I would never get elected.
I would tell everyone the unfortunate truth: "Nothing is FREE!....How shall we tax you for all of your benefits?"
"Ohhh...and by the way: Social Security is a shell game scam and your S.S. money is long gone!"
I like term limits because it in essence takes the power of the vote away from the representatives home court. Ted Kennedy got elected a bazillion times because he showed Massachusetts voters the money. Why would they vote him out. Term limits would put every state on a more even money keel.
Robert Byrd of West Virginia is another famous example of wasted Pork Project money.
He finally was forced to resign his Senate seat by the Grim Reaper.
I would suggest instead of two year terms for the House they be four year terms (up to 3) thus giving the congress person a chance to do something before they need to start raising money to run again. My:twocents:
I completely agree!
Originally and from a principles standpoint...I don't like term limits.
But, as you pointed out...politicians have figured out how to stay in office, even when they are known criminals!
Just keep sending 'Pork Project' money back home and the voters will keep you in Washington.
Longer terms for the House should be a no brainer....2 years isn't squat.
They spend all their time trying to get re-elected instead of doing something in Congress.
I would love to see a viable 3rd Party in American Politics!
Right now we have two 'Fat Cats' deciding how to split up our tax money and neither one has done a good job for their own voters.
