Thought I'd post up some pics of my other money pit. 1972 Ford Maverick. Needs a little bodywork and a paint job but I'm in no hurry.

Sweet! My buddy flipped mine in 1992 trying to negotiate the S turns back east. :(

Yee Hawww, Mav's are starting to get popular......

A friend has one with 351, Top Loader & 9" from a wrecked '71 Boss 351 Mustang...

I like the Grabber hood. My pops had a Comet GT about the same year. Nice car.

My brother had a Comet GT back in the day with a 302 and I have to say that was a pretty nice car (and would roast the tires). I think a cool Maverick would be more fun than another run-o-the-mill Mustang.

Nice! The small bumper cars are actually very good looking IMO. I'd like to have one myself but around here they're solid rust from the door handles down. It seems like finding good metal for these is really tough.

THis has a 302 in it. I bought it about 6 years ago from a guy who rebuilt the motor and transmission. He gave me a list of stuff that he had done but its long since gone missing. The Maverick definately turns heads and is way more fun to drive than a Mustang. We're finally putting exhaust on it and getting it street legal so I can play with it.

It has a little bit of the car cancer on the rear fenders, just like all the old Mavericks. It will be repaired before it gets too much farther. I love this car almost as much as the Merc.

I love those things. I think somebody even makes fiberglass hoods for them too.

IIRC, they used to make one from the factory with a 302, 4 barrel and Hurst shifter. I was going to buy one but EX #1 said NO. Back then I listened on occaision, well, we were newly weds, if catch my drift.
