Pull the line off the power brake booster.

Answer: None.

If you run it through the intake you'll have a few issues #1 it will puddle like crazy. #2 it will not go to all cylinders...

The best way is to remove the spark plugs, dump an equal amount down all cylinders then turn the engine over with the spark plugs out and the coil covers on. (make sure you put the covers on or you'll have a big mess) Let it turn over for about 10-15 seconds while the gas pedal is floored (to turn the fuel injectors off so it dosn't flood). Then alow it to sit for 15 min. Come back. Re-install the spark plugs and fire it up! It will bounce around getting the intake valves, exhaust valves, and piston.

When you install the new plugs, use a touch of anti-sieze and 12ft-lbs.

Upper intake will still be nasty - so also do the brake booster. Lube it up 1st with wd-40 then twist back and forth to pull it off, someone here broke their booster connection.. Do it when engine is at full operating temp. Let it stall at end of bottle, let sit for 10-15 mins. Will make a TON of smoke so be warned...

Have you looked at how these intakes are designed? they don't go straight in. Sending liquids through an intake that was not designed for it will cause it to puddle and build up just as much crud.

If you want to clean the intake manifold, remove it and do it right.

I agree it's better to take it off and I've personally done that (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=65382) , many however won't do this. Seafoming via PCV or brake booster is better than nothing at all..

Leaving it alone is better. You'll just add more stuff in there that will make a film/puddle catching more crap.

You think that seafoam will make a puddle and stay in the intake forever? This is not true. Seaform will dissolve the vanish and it will then get sucked into the heads and burned.

It leaves a flim. Ask me how many "sea foamed" intakes I've removed and cleaned for friends. It will still be just as dirty if not more.

do you guys do a whole bottle in the intake or a half intake half gas tank?

I did the sparkplug way once. Since then, around every 5 thousand miles I dump a bottle in the tank. Or before a trip long enough to use a full tank of gas before I get there, then I know it runs thru the system all in one shot. I have noticed the difference in cleanliness each time I pull the K&N off to clean the filter, I shine a flashlight into the upper intake. Throttle body blades stay clean, too. But, who knows, there may be 3 bottles full of seafoam sitting at the bottom of my lower intake.
