Yep, it's brand new to me. I've had it a total of two months. I still have to move over the rest of the air tools, the tool box, the mig welder and the workbench, bench grinder, car rotisserie, my Galaxie and my other Cougar. Unfortunately because I like 2300 miles away from the shop it's a slow process.

Just curious.
What's the story on the VW Squareback and the Karman Ghia?

I moved from Ohio to Cali for my job. And if I have my way, in a few months I'll be moving back. I won't know until february though. The story behind the squareback is it was my great grandfather's (dad's mom's dad) that was passed to his son, and when he died a few years ago I got it. The story behind the ghia is a little more convoluted. In 1992, the PO and a buddy of his were hanging with Jack Daniels one night and they thought it would be neat to cut the top off. My parents bought the car shortly after in an effort to make a pure trailer queen show car. Life got in the way, I grew up and here we are 17 years later still waiting for the project to begin.

Love the 59 hearse, Ive always wanted one. I really like the Superior landaus but the Millers are great as well. Please dont ruin that fine vehicle to make a hotrod or a fake Ghostbusters hearse. Shiny black paint and a stock looking exterior would be best IMHO. Great shop.

Plus a blower and rims, that wouldn't make it a hot rod would it?
I guess ghost flames on the black would though

I still have a flippin one car garage. We have my Torino, a blast cab., compressor, solvent tank and tub, 40 inch toolbox, workbench, two Ford big blocks on stands, cherry picker, and a couple jacks all TIGHTLY packed in our little garage. Someday the three car will go up, just gotta have the home equity lol. Nice shop you got!

I thought I had bought a 59 Superior Crown Royale once upon a time, but apparently I was scammed instead. I hate to break it to you, but it's destined to be an Ecto-1 replica. On the flip side of that though, it will be extremely easy to return it to a non-Ecto state. Nothing will be permanently mounted and no cutting will be done. I'm not one too destroy cars or devalue them but I swore to myself when I was very young I would own an Ecto-1 and I figured if I was gonna do it, I was gonna do it right.

I know, its yours and each to their own. Arggghhhhh. Anyway, this 59 Superior is the one Ive wanted since I saw "Harold and Maude" in 1971:

To my eyes some cars just "project" like a 55 Chevy gasser (badass)or a Plymouth Superbird (top end speed). A black 59/60 Cadillac hearse is another one that can't be improved upon, something beautiful but bringing a feeling of dread, true "gothic" in a car.

Haha, I already turned down a $10,000 offer...add an extra zero and I'll deliver it to your doorstep! Vortex, I can completely sympathize. Considering Miller-Meteor made approximately 88 of the limo style futura duplexs. While I'm not a member of the Professional Car Society, I know how much they loathe Ecto replicas. Fear not though, I am on the look out for a 57 Superior Limo style end loader. That one will be pretty. I had a chance to buy the one below, but they wanted way too much for the condition it was in.

Why don't you focus on getting your life together first? You won't do it though. Just buy another bike and mooch off a buddy by living at his place and not pay rent.
Just busting your chops. :stupid:
