Been posting for a week or two and just noticed there was a welcome forum so posting a hello there to you all.
Picked up my 03 MM about two weeks ago in Albany, NY and had a big ol' grin on my face driving her back to Miami. Didn't waste any time meeting some of the locals at the weekly gathering here. Very helpful group ( thanks Cobra25).
Spent a little time with my girl this week. Got her some tints and then installed the K&N intake kit next day. Took her out on an official first date to watch the Bears/Fins game (Don't even go there) and was surprised at the difference that something as simple as an air intake made.
Planning on calling a local specialty shop on Monday to see about gears and a tune. So, after that... What's next? Modest stuff, no S/C YET.

Congratulations and :welcome1: Let's see... tint, CAI, gears....I 'd go with a tune next for sure. You'll feel like it's a whole new car.

Welcome, new owner!

Planning on calling a local specialty shop on Monday to see about gears and a tune. So, after that... What's next? Modest stuff, no S/C YET. Cold-air intake & J-mod would be my next two mechanical mods.
Tint would be my first cosmetic mod.

Sorry, formal welcomes are limited to folks with less than 1 week on-board and under 10 posts. :P Your next chance is to become a supporting member. ;)

:welcome:

Performance-wise:
I'd suggest 4.10 gears and a tune (do these together and you'll have a whole new car)
Underdrive pullies
Headers and 2 1/2 mid-pipes, hi-flow cats, re cat delete.

Handling-wise:
Aftermarket control arms or boxed OEM control arms
ADDCO Control Arms
Aftermarket Watts link
Aftermaket brakes

BTW, start saving your coins for the S/C, sooner or later, that mod bug's gonna bite...;)

Flavajay? :cool4: yes, I guess I am. Brother in law. So guess I gott be careful what I say here or the wife will find out how
Much I'm spending. :D

Cold air, gears an tune already in work. Wanna retain stock looks and sound more or less. Like sleepers. That being said, I think I might look at handling next. Unless there's something else modest I can tackle? Any benefit to the MAF? That plastic piece didn't look too convincing? Or is that for later with sc? Tell me more about pulleys as far as benefits

Gotta do some electric props soon also. That stock radio is driving me crazy. Don't think it even plays MP3s.

The pulleys don't "add" HP, but they basically free up some cannibalized HP, and allow the engine to spool up faster. In essence, a couple HP for around $200.

May want to consider retrofitting a Ford Audiophile radio. It's an upgrade over the ones in the car, and they're plug 'n play. Check out link below.

Hear that.... Less my wife knows the better:lol:

Handling wise, my .02 here only..... The two best improvements you can make, are Upgraded Brakes and Control Arms. If you SC the Marauder you will probably upgrade the MAF too, so you may want to wait on that.

Hope ya enjoy the site. You should visit Atlanta with her on one of the upcoming 3rd weekends of a month, and come out to play with us:burnout:Just a thought hehehehe....

Take your time & do your research. Some mods other's here have done are good ones and other's aren't worth doing.

Welcome aboard. You really should wait on the S/C, at least that's what I told myself too.

If your planning on a S/C, you should do any mods that will go in conjunction with it. :burnout:
