Homestead - Wood Brothers - P4

Had to brag on em someplace. Ole Bill Elliott and the Wood Brothers qualified P4 yesterday. A great job for a team that only runs 13 races a year. Im wondering if when they agreed to run Bayne at Texas a couple of weeks ago Jack Roush didnt just give them a whole car and WBR just put a 21 wrapper on it? That car ran great at Texas and its the same car this weekend at Homestead. Nahhhh. Anyway, a good finish here would really help get some sponsorship lined up for next year (as of right now there is no info on anything, or even if WBR will be around.) Well, my fingers are crossed. Go 21 car!

Yeah I became a Bill Elliott fan in '83 prior to winning his first race... Prior I was a Pearson/WB fan but could never get behind Bonnet after David left... After wondering around in La La Land for a couple years, one day I said Bill is going to be the man and never looked back...

First time I saw Bill race was at Darlington in '76, he had one of only four or five Ford/Mercurys in the race and actually I didn't pay much attention to him except for noting how clean and straight his car was... Was every bit as good looking at the 21 or Bud Moore's 15...

guys - bill elliot ? no ford is going to win this years sprint cup championship ! it comes down to top 3 in points.. that is danny hamlin [ toyota or 2 chevy's ] jimmie johnson or kevin harvick .. fords seem to come on strong/ end of season , may next year ! ? ralph sr./rkvette

Always been a Wood Bros. fan, and I'm glad to see them qualify well. I wish they would back it up with a solid finish, but it hasn't happened in a long time.

I've been watching NASCAR long enough to know. Bring back Bobby Allison in the Miller Buick, bring back the Quaker Steak Buick, the Hardee's Oldsmobile, Kulwicki's UNDERBIRD, and Davey Allison in the #28...

A P15 finish is pretty good IMHO. I think the Hendricks organization spends more on oil wiping rags that the entire annual Wood Brothers Racing budget so well done Bill, Len and Eddie! It would be real nice if they could add superspeedways and road courses to their limited schedule next year. Just have to wait and see.
