ElectronicThrottleControl - 2005+ Panthers

Summarization of a thread on one of the F-150 forums ....
Preliminary clean any carbon build-up in the throttle body.
clean the MAF sensor.Secondary *May not apply to Panthers http://www.gdmjoe.com/dunno.gif insure that the gas pedal is not bottoming-out on the floor before WOT.
if necessary ... loosen the bolts that hold the gas pedal assembly, slide the bracket within the bottom 2 bolt slots, and retighten the bolts.Primary turn the ignition key to the -ON- position, but DO NOT START the vehicle.
slowly depress the gas pedal to the floor.
quickly release the gas pedal.
turn the ignition key to the -OFF- position.
Repeat the above 4 steps, 2(two) more times.CAVEAT: I'm only the messenger.
no technical information was made available as to why the pedal-trick works, only that it seems to work on all ETC vehicles - any make, car, truck, motorcycle.Personal Experience - Only did the pedal-trick on my recently acquired 2009 F-150 4.6 3V, and immediately noticed a dramatic increase in throttle response. http://www.gdmjoe.com/thumb.gif
