my old new project.

weell since i sold my 5 speed marquis i've been kind of up in the air as to what my next project was gona be. i really want a marauder but 2 kids a house and a wife to take care of and only me workin since she stays home with the kids its just not in the cards right now. so i decided to dig my longterm 69 ranchero project out of the corner of the garage and start workin on it again. as of right now i'm going to start strippin paint and start doin the bodywork and get it lookin somewhat good.

here are some pics of the last time i had it together before i bought my house, unfortunatly everything except the car got sold off of it so i could pay off stuff for the house.

it had a basic 302 with afr 185's, b&m blower @10 psi, c-4 325 drag radials and a bunch of other crap, unfortunatly i never even got to drive the car like this :(.

i'll get some pics up as the car sits now before i start workin on it.

hey what kinda motor you putting in this? i have a 360 im pulling from my truck i cant think of anything to do with.

4v 351c with a top loader, im gonna go with handling this time as it just seems like it'd be fun and i'm just burned out with drag cars. my dad would take it he's a fe nut, he's puttin a 428 cobra jet in his 69 torino gt. if you can do bodywork i'm deff gona give you a call lol.

Pickups used the 360 from the late '60s till the FE was dropped from production for '77... It has a 390 bore (4.05) with the 3.50 stroke of the 352, they were also in the '58 & '59 Edsels marketed as a 361... There was also a 361 HD truck engine in the FT series(slightly modified FE), that used a steel crank...

OH BTW, I like your Ranchero as well, I had '69 in the early '80s with a 302... I had a '68 hydraulic cam 427 I was going to put in it but that was at the time of the 2nd gas crunch so it never happened...
