I was there, I saw the dyno sheet. We gutted the fuel filter and stuffed it with pictures of Chuck Norris. First pull after that, we were at 16,000 HP when the damn thing flew out the top of the building and landed on the roof of a Denny's 6 miles away. Now thier ultimate Meat Lovers Skillet is so good you'd swear you been round house kicked in the piehole by the Meat Fairy.

The top blowers are fake. The butterflies are wide open at idle. Plus there are no safety shut-downs on them. 2V diesels like to runaway and without the emergency shut-downs you'll watch this engine turn 12K RPM and meltdown. Also on 71 series engines, the blowers are gear driven not belt.

Diesel engines do not regulate air flow into the engine. Power is controlled by regulating the quantity of fuel into each cylinder. thats why the throttle bodies are open. you can run a diesel without intakes.

Yup I would say that was a big waste of $$$

Yup I found that out when I revved a old diesel Olds I had and it sucked a shop rag down the intake... Ran a little rough for awhile then finally chewed it up and spit it into the exhaust, never saw it again but could smell the cloth burn...
