Can two different iPods be synched with with two different playlists on the same computer?
Say, for example, my wife and I want to use the same computer but we don't want to share music or playlists, etc.

Can the Ipods be given different names? ex. Marty's or (wife's), would save to different files, I'm thinking...
Ken
Ken I think you are correct on this. Linda is pretty sure you can. She will look into this later today.

I have a 30Gb Zune. Nothing proprietary about it. I can connect as many as I want because it shows up as a harddrive. I can copy anything I want to it.

I asked about an iPod though....... :P
You can create the settings for each device individually. When you connect your device you can select which music you want to load on it. So the answer is yes Marty. Per Apple instructions. You can click for help on I tunes and the instructions are there.

Thanks John.
I also found these instructions which would essentially have two different users on the same computer and therefore two different iTunes accounts:
Windows users:
Look in your computer's Help documentation to learn how to set up additional user accounts. To locate this information:
Click the Start Menu, and then click Help or Help and Support.
Enter "new user" in the Search field.
Press Return.

This is done pretty easily. I have 3 libraries going on my PC now.
All you do is hold down the shift key while you start iTunes, and a library prompt will come up. You can pick your library there, or you'll see a "create new" option.
When you want to change libraries, just close itunes, and restart holding the shift key.
That's it!
Good luck!

I will try it when I get home.

Very easy Marty.
If you still have my number and it doesn't work just give me a shout. I run 4 different iPods through my Mac and they all have different stuff on them.
