I know that there's a picture section elswhere on the board, but I thought it would be interesting to simply have a thread where everyone who cares to, can post pics of their other cars. I hope this is okay, but if not, then I'll understand completely if Logan, or one of the Mods moves this or deletes it........anyway, here's my 73 Vette....it's just a little bit faster than my Marauder is, but w/a 350 engine, and less weight, it should be faster......

Damn! I just wasted 20 minutes of my life. I searched my server, found image links, posted them in a reply, and got an error message when trying to submit the reply "too many images".
How many images can each reply handle?
Hell, I'll start with just a few.....

I also own a 2003 POLICE INTERCEPTOR and a 2002 Corvette Z06. I have never posted pictures of these 2 recent purchases anywhere because a bunch of kiddies follow me from site to site altering and defacing my images..... like they did the one below...... kids and computers! And their parents have no idea where they are or what they are doing 23 hours a day 365 days a year...... really sad what our world has turned into lately. The image below was placed on the main signin screen of a forum, with the Administrator's blessing. So sad.

The people following me around altering and defacing my images aren't from MercuryMarauder.net.

Uh... that's a lot of vehicles. Is the one in your sigs (the black MM) yours as well? How many is that in total? Where do you keep all that? Yikes.
The most cars I had at one time was '86? Pontiac 6000 (wife's daily), '90 Lincoln LSC (for fun), and a '86 Pontiac Parisienne (my daily). That was in '94. Sold both Pontiacs and got a '91? Grand Am (wife) and sold the LSC for a '94 T-Bird (mine).

Nice ride Billy! I used to have a '79 with the Rochester 4bbl!
Here's a pic of my current winter beater. 92 CV LX - I think it's a P75. I don't know how to tell. Nothing in the serial number, but it's got the wildest ignition setup I've ever seen on a 4.6. Twin distributors, each coming directly off one of the cams. I think it's a P75 because of the towing package, dual exhaust, heavy duty driveshaft and police brakes and suspension and full leather interior. :)

Now umm... as an administrator, could you all please refrain from using the "Attach Image" option and upload your pics to the photo gallery? Then from there attach the link as an image link ([IMG] command). I know this is much more complicated, but it cuts down on the server load... or some jazz like that. K? Thanks!

Agent, no. The particular Marauder in the signature is not mine. I have never posted a real image of my Marauder because of prior episodes of kids following me web site to web site and altering and defacing any image I post anywhere. They tried covertly in vain through e-mail to get images of my Marauder, my Z06 and my 2003 POLICE INTERCEPTOR so they could do the same thing to them. It's a past history that really has no place here on MM.net, but I feel obligated to explain it to you.
I usually park 3 on the street, and have 4 to 6 parked in the back yard (garage & carports), contrary to what TAF says. I don't know TAF, TAF doesn't know me. :)
The Z06 is currently parked in my mother's garage with heat and air conditioning. It is only driven 3 or 4 times a year.
Let me explain..... when I reached the big 40 I had a decision to make..... I could either keep up with the Jones and Smiths and buy a $400,000 to $500,000 home with a marble entrance foyer, $5.000 curtains, $3,000 sofas, and gold plated bathroom fixtures..... or I could go on living in a modest $175,000 home with a wife and one child.... and afford other nice things in life. I opted for the latter. I grew up in a showplace home where you had to take your shoes off to walk on the $50/square yard carpet to get to the $3,000 sofa. I also grew up with a cool dad (now deceased), but when you got in his new Cadillacs and trucks every year you better keep your feet on the rubber floor mats and not touch the carpet. I made the decision that I and my family would never live like that!

Relax! Takes time, young fella! After you age a bit and get a few inheritances, win a few lawsuits, etc... you too can have more than 1 toy too. I am guessing your age (from CVN) to be about 23 to 25. You're not going to own much at that age. It comes later in life!

If you view the below image it shows two things.....
1) my wife's grocery getter the day we bought it new, before I upgraded to the diamond spoke wheels.....
and
2) a 4 car garage/carport configuration in the right back yard. 2 stalls are totally enclosed with garage doors, and 2 stalls are open carports.

This image of course opens a whole new can of worms..... "why do you have two satellite dishes, Sheriff".
Because this is America and I can have more than one of anything. :)
Actually, I have the satellite TV upstairs on one dish, and the satellite TV downstairs is on the other dish.

AgentM79, here's another example of why I don't post real pictures of my recent or current purchases nowadays. The first day I owned/bought my 2001 POLICE INTERCEPTOR new, the kiddies took the image and altered/defaced it. They were just jealous. They also defaced my then 9-year-old daughter in the top left corner by painting her face black.
None of this bothers me of course... or I wouldn't repost them.... I am just offering you an explanation why I withhold images from the kiddies that follow me around. :)

Yep, mine is a salt water boat. Powered with twin CAT 3208TA's (turbo after cooled, making 375hp per motor).
In teh summer that's where I stay from Friday through Sunday. Within teh next year I hope to move up to a slightly larger boat so that I can live on the boat all summer long. I already have my eyes on a few....

M'Jack: I live to be on the water. I grew up on boats.
Aft cabins aren't in the cards for me because I need a boat that my pups can get on and off by themselves easily. They go everywhere with me on the boat. I belive that my next step is a 50 foot Sea Ray Sundancer (the current girl is 40') with twin Detroits or Cummins (depending on the year) diesels. I must have that boat! It is the lay out I need with the right balance of speed and power.
We had an 1984 37' Convertible Silverton with has power boat back in '84. Boat ran well and gave great service.

My second RX7, sold it when we found we were 'family' bound....
I don't miss this one, as it was a dog compared to the gen1.

Last but not least. The cutlass. Shortly after grandma's 92nd birthday, she backed into a Florida state trooper and accused
him of hiding behind her....at an intersection!
The state of Florida officially took her license, and I flew down to get my latest gift.
A pristine '80 Cutlass with 17,400 miles. I drove it till 2000,
and passed it to a friend in need when the RX7 sold.
It is pictured in front of the old Cleveland Stadium that was being
torn down for the one we have now.
The Browns still suck...go figure:P

I think the pic Paul posted is the culprit. Leave the thread open for about a half hour. I think the server it links to must be connected with two tin cans and a string. :)

tta197, do I even have to state that I personally think the best thing they did to the 3rd generation Trans Am was color-match the ground effects and integrate them with the nose piece (ie. GTA!!! ... and subsequently the TurboT/A as well).
While I only tend to buy cars that are guaranteed to turn my head when I'm walking away from them (which is trouble, because then I start to get all overprotective of them), this particular model style will have me staring at it for extreme lengths of time. Beautiful car you have there...
(I used to get home to my parents' house in the mid 90s and literally spend 5-10 minutes just staring at my GTA before going inside the house...)

1989 Turbo 3.8 v6 Trans AM GTA (20th anniv. pace car) 1,400 original miles
How much would you sell the car for right now?
tta197
12-21-2003, 09:09 AM
Sheriff, you can have her for $26K (with full tank of 93octane).
TripleTransAM, I knew this would get your attention. By the way, that GTA you have is sharp looking (I wish the Turbo TA's were black instead of white).
Thanks for the compliments. Nicholas.

Sheriff, I didn't think you were serious so I just threw out a high number. If you are serious, $23k firm (NOT A PENNY LESS) and she's yours. These cars stickered over $31k back in '89. This one is #197 of 1555 ever made. You can go to this web site for more info. on these T/A's : www.89tta.com
