It's been talked about a lot how our foglights are shared with the 2001-2003 Miata and 2002-2003 Mazda MPV. I was doing some searching for new foglights and came across a recall campaign for/from Mazda. Take a look at the link http://www.miata.net/garage/tsb/1103foglightinspectionandrepai r1.pdf

It seems that there is some sort of "spring" used to keep the bulb socket tight and sealed. Wish mine would of had that cause it came loose and half melted. Now I have to track another bulb socket down (most likely buy two new fog light assy) and I going to see if I can track down some of these springs for future use.

Interesting, but there is no :censor: way in hell I'm clicking on ANYTHING that will take me to a Miata related site as long as I am a man, and all my man-parts still function.

It would seem that we can just go to a Mazda dealer and get some of those springs. Especially due to the fact that was (albeit a while back) a recall on these.
How come they recall stuff like that; and Ford doesn't? How come noone put on the clips from the factory; because the housing apparently has the place to hold the clips?

hahaha i always thought that way until a friend of mine let me take his turbo miata around an autocross course once... now that was fun!!!!

If i wasnt 6'7" i'd be building a Monster Miata right now... oh well

PS: Mazda dealers should have that clip in stock... i doubt anyone sells just the bulb connectors though...

sorry for the thread jack
