Christmas Vacation and Christmas Story.

"Merry Christmas! *****ter was full!"

and

"Hallelujah, holy *****! Where's the Tylenol?"

Yep, Christmas Story is my fav.

Yep, "A Christmas Story" is just so close to what I remember about growing up in the '50s. Very nostalgic for me.

Best line ever, my third favorite right behind That's What She Said and Dibs On Your Floormats.

Todd and Margo Chester, the Griswold's yuppie neighbors, appear
Todd (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0346415/): Hey Griswold. Where do you think you're gonna put a tree that big?
Clark (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000331/): Bend over and I'll show you.
Todd (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0346415/): You've got a lot of nerve talking to me like that Griswold.
Clark (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000331/): I wasn't talking to you.

^^^ Best line EVER !! That scene makes me bust-a-gut ever year.
#1 - Christmas Vacation.

2nd runner-up for me though is Bill Murray in Scrooged.

Call me an old traditionalist:

Miracle on 34th Street (the 1947 version)

Kris Kringle (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0350324/): You know what the imagination is?
Susan Walker (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0000081/): Oh, sure. That's when you see things, but they're not really there.
Kris Kringle (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/name/nm0350324/): Well, that can be caused by other things, too.

A Christmas Story FTW.

Home Alone 1+2. I didn't care for the PC that TV stations who showed Home Alone 2 did when they cut out the twin towers scene back in 2001.

Home Alone

Last night I went on a search for Christmas Vacation and Home Alone. I said I wouldn't rest until I had those two movies in my possession. Well after 4 stores and driving all over God's creation, I FINALLY have them! A much needed addition to the old DVD collection.

On my tree, I have the Christmas ornament of the leg lamp in the "FRAGILE" crate that says all of the movies lines about the lamp ..... "FRAAA JEEL AYE -- must be Italian", "Its a major award", etc. Some stations play that movie back to back for 24 hours on Christmas Eve.

I was shopping for Christmas Vacation and Home Alone last night and the movie "Friday" was on clearance for $3.49 to make room for Blu-rays at Bestbuy! Had to cop it for that price! Was actually surprised I didn't have it yet! haha

My sister bought me a leg lamp candle thing. It burns tea lights and is on my coffee table next to my tree!

Home For The Holidays is probably my favorite. The scenes with Robert Downey Jr. and the GTO are funny as heck.
The Family Stone is another good one. Both are hilarious.

Its not a Christmas movie but we always watch it at Christmas:

Uncle Buck

CLASSIC CANDY!!

"I don't think I want to know a six-year-old who isn't a dreamer, or a sillyheart. And I sure don't want to know one who takes their student career seriously. I don't have a college degree. I don't even have a job. But I know a good kid when I see one. Because they're ALL good kids, until dried-out, brain-dead skags like you drag them down and convince them they're no good. You so much as scowl at my niece, or any other kid in this school, and I hear about it, and I'm coming looking for you!
[of Anita's mole]
Take this quarter, go downtown, and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face! Good day to you, madam"

I miss the Candyman...But God bless him, he still has me howling once a year. Uncle Buck was MY role model!! :D

Another one I love is "The Gift Of Love" with Lee Remick. It was a made -for -TV movie, filmed on location in Vermont, and originally aired 5 days before Christmas in 1983. It also stars Angela Landsbury. It was never put on DVD and is basically lost to time. I don't think it is aired any longer. A shame... because it is a gem.

How about the MST3K version of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians? Highly enjoyable. :D

I'd have to say my favorite is A Christmas Story.
