I am looking for some obscure information on the marauder. I'd like to get one as my DD and leave the trailblazer ss for the wife and kids. This probably sounds funny, but does the marauder have side curtain airbags? Also, how many sets of latch are their in the back? If there are 6 individual latches than that can hold 3 carseats. Thanks for the help.

No side curtain Air bags. I only see setups for the car seats on the ends of the back seat.
BTW, Welcome aboard. Enjoy the site.

The Marauder doesn't have side "curtain" air bags but it does have side airbags in the front seats.
The Marauder is equipt with a "LATCH" system for car seats. There are 3 child safety seat anchors located in the package tray. There are 2 lower attachment points at both rear outboard seating positions. The attachment points protrude from the biteline between the seat cushion and the seat backrest.

FastBlackMerc has it right. It has seat-deployed front side airbags, not air curtains. That being said, it is one of the safest cars in a collision you can have. I bought mine in 2004 after leasing one in 2003, and confidently drove my kid around in the command position (rear center) in a child seat until she was 9. She has since graduated to the rear and even front passenger now that she is small full-adult sized, and I am confident in safety of the vehicle.

Believe it or not the N.C. State Trooper is alive after this crash, badly injured but alive.

I think there are allot of people out there that have this perception that you have to be in a "bubble" of bags to survive an accident. Now...if I drove a Honda Civic - sure as h**l would like as many bags as possible in that tin can!!
There is no question that air-bags do what they should; but this is a approx.5000Lb tank with a PROVEN record for how safe it is!
Don't worry about curtain air bags. What it does have - you can feel good that you and your family are safe. Enjoy!

He was speeding to catch someone who didn't want to go thru a checkpoint. Crested a hill, lost control and hit a tree so hard it separated the engine from the frame.
