Vista sucks!

It is gone.

Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit installed and running on a new 250GB HDD in your laptop.

Activated Windows 7 as necessary then proceeded to do/install the following:

All pending security updates from Micro$oft installed along with Avast Free ver. 5.x (registered to your email address, and good for the next year)

Installed a few drivers from HP that Windows 7 couldn't find.

Adobe Reader 10.x and Flash Player also installed.

Attached your wireless adapter to my WLAN and currently using your machine to surf MM.net :D

Google Chrome installed (if you use it?)

Installed Portable Office 2k3 and the Micro$oft Compatability Pack for reading Office 2k7 documents.

Shut off several unecessary items in startup then deleted all files in the hidden temp folder as they are no longer needed.

I am going to let this run for about a day or so for a good 'burn in' then will send it back to you.

Think I'll continue beating on this laptop for a while...

:D :burnout:

Mike.

It's an HP... You knob! Need Windows 7 Ultimate for HP/Compaq 32bit or 64bit?? May even be good with openoffice instead of 2k3...

Can you help with my pocket calculator? Every December and January when I try and balance the checkbook to the bank statement I get a negative number. My wife says that it is caused by the alignment of the planets. Something about the extreme orbit of Jupiter this time of year, or so she says.

To fix this, you need a 50lb bag of lime and a shovel. PM me for details on how to use them once you have said items... ;)

Water the lime or you'll just make a cast around the body. What? Who said that? :hide:
