As many of you have seen, Todd (TAF) and I have a running battle on this site. The truth is, we are just playing around with each other. We are actually great friends as a direct result of this site.

Since I have met Todd I have had an opportunity to speak to him for countless hours. In fact, I even had the opportunity to meet his wife and two lovely daughters.

Todd's older daughter, Ruth, will be undergoing surgery on Thursday, so I am asking you all to join me in praying for my good friend's daughter. I know Todd will take good care of his daughter, but some extra positive thinking and prayers on his daughter's behalf will also do some good.

Thanks!

Okay folks, here is the latest on our friends Todd's lovely daughter Ruth (I just got off the phone with TAF):

The procedure went well and now they must wait for the results of the biopsy, but everything looks good. I have a "vibe" for
these things and I am getting very positive ones here. I know Ruth will be okay!

Also, all of you that checked in here should know that at the hospital there was internet access and Roth checked in on this thread and it made her (and Todd) very happy to know that we were all pulling for her. The power of positive thought is amazing.

On behalf of my friend Todd and his lovely daughter Ruth, I want to thank all of you for your expressions of concern. Todd and his family truly appreciated the well wishes. I know I will keep Ruth in my prayers for a speedy recovery and I trust you all will do the same.

Todd, I am sorry I became aware of this so late, Mayra is in the hospital and I have not used the computer. I will add my prayers for your lovely daughter's recovery and also for you and your wife to ease the anxiety that these moments make a parent feel. May God be with your girl and your family.

Doctors and hospitals and modern medical knowledge are wonderful blessings, but we must never forget the true source of all blessing and healing:

Mat 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Dawn and I have prayed, and will continue to pray for Ruth and for all of your family until we hear of her healing. Then we will pray in thanksgiving at God's love and grace.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phillipians 4:13

Time for me to "chime in" here...the post above was directly from Ruth. She came to me this morning and asked if she could post a 'thank you" to ALL of you. Her words...BTW the Phillipians 4 was what she said to me on the operating table yesterday as I held her hand and asked her if she was O.K. before they put her to sleep. She was a big, brave girl yesterday...and she is doing very well resting today.

Marty...what can I say, my friend...I can't thank you enough for your thoughts, calls and support. I REALLY appreciate it.

And to ALL of the rest of my friends here...I'm (WE...even my wife) am VERY touched by the posts in this thread. You are all a very special group of individuals and I can't tell you how good it made me aand Ruth feel yesterday when we brought up this thread at the hospital, right before Ruth went in. I appreciate your continued prayers as we are now awaiting the biopsy and hope to have word within the week. Ruth is swollen and puffy, but did not lose any sight in her eye. For those that may be wondering. Ruth has had a growth in the white of her eye that we have been watching for about 3 years. A blood vessel had attached and it was growing. It is a form of Nevus, and with it growinng...there is concern that it could be cancer and it needed to be removed and biopsied.

We are all doing well and your continued prayers are needed and appreciated.

Thanks again to all my friends.

Todd,
For us in lower Alabama we want to send our prayers for Ruth. I know in my heart that she is going to be ok. She is one of God's little lambs and he is her shephard. Shephards take good care of their lambs and is always there when they need him. We will remeber her and hope the that she recovers quickly. Tell her just to keep her thoughts on him and all things will work for the good of God. We will be praying for you and your family that the recovery will be speedy and that Ruth can be at home this Christmas season
