Well a big winter storm is on the way!
Jersey is looking at 10"-12" of snow, North of us maybe more:eek:
New York 12" + Cape Cod & Boston 12"
Eastern seaboard States south of us are getting hit first:mad2:
DC & Baltimore area gets to sit it out with 3"-4":P
Have plenty of milk and bread on hand:help:
I am going to work Sunday morning @ 5:30 AM Fort Dix to Phila airport, then a 9:30 pick up on Northeast Phila. to Atlantic City:eek:, leave AC at 4:30 PM
Guess it will be a fun day:shake::cool4:

That storm just started here about 5PM, only about an inch of snow in 4 hours though, and it doesn't look like it will drop more than another inch at the most.

We got about 1-2" Christmas eve but it mostly melted during the day, then we got a couple more inches last night. Hoping Washinton DC is spared, I'm flying up there first thing in the morning.

Yea I heard they were going to close the Atlanta airport for 3" of snow???:rofl::rofl: I'm thinking, have they ever heard of road graders? put em 3-4 abreast in a diagonal line blades 1/4" off the tarmac and that will take care of a lousy 3" of snow. 3", give me a break...

No, they haven't. I think there is like one plow in the entire SE, and everyone has to share it. We're not scheduled to get it until March 3rd...;)
Give US a break, load up your new snow blower, bring it down here and start blowing; you can start at my place... :D

Sounds like this going to be a record December (snow wise) for a lot of places. WE got about 4" between Friday morning and Christmas morning. A little more in other areas. Fortunately MODOT got a good handle on clearing the roads so definately no big deal. Nitto 420s have done well thus far.
Be safe out there.

Expecting several inches to a foot of snow here. It's cloudy and very cold, but so far we've seen only flurries of Snow Geese just across the river in the fields.

About the same in Central Virginia.
They were originally forecasting 4" to 6".
^^^ We must have Greene County's, up to 8-10" here in the Norfolk area and still coming down...

Well to be fair, this city rarely gets snow, as such they don't have many plows at all (Gwinnett County where I live only has 1) so they just aren't prepared when they actually get snow that cumulates. I find it funny however that the city shuts down with a little snow.

Of course -- just a dusting... We cut short our holiday visit to family in Bucks County, PA, came home early this morning, got the snow blower in place, now it's just flurries blowing around... (more time to watch football--Jack says)

I thought I got away from snow. We got about 6" on the ground here in Raleigh, NC. Looks like I never left Michigan. Weather Channel says it will be in the mid 50's by the end of next week so I guess I can deal with it. The Cat doesnt want to leave the garage since I just gave it a bath last week when we hit the high 50's.

Snowing steadily here since about 1 pm. They're predicticting an inch or 2 an hour. Ms. D has to be at work before 7am tomorrow. Will try to keep up with shoveling and clearing off her SUV through the evening so she can get out and on her way by 6 am. Or she may take my Titan...better windshield wipers.

I know, thats why I mentioned the road graders. Good makeshift plows for that little amount of snow. They we talking here about how Atlanta had not had a white Christmas since 1882 IIRC. Wow, at least it won't last. I won't see bare ground until April here. My daughter is up from Ct for Christmas and my postponed surgery. She tells my future son inlaw to go buy food because he's getting hammered with 1-2 feet of snow. He buys a 24 pack and a shovel. I like this kid already, even if he is a lawyer.

Not much snow in the DC/Northern Virginia area. We got about 1-2 inches yesterday. Bitter cold today with 35 MPH winds. Hope you brought a warm coat. ;)
We got 12"-14" here in the Norfolk area, things are pretty much at a standstill...
There Was 13" on top of the cars at 4:00PM yesterday and was still snowing...

Well, put him to work for a couple days... ;)
Yesterday afternoon was sunny and around 34*, so most of the crap down here is gone. By tomorrow at this time, it'll be nothing more than a bad memory.
Right Rex! Took off last night with one of his friends so they good go skiing today!

He is not happy about this but knows he is avoiding a huge mess by not being in Virginia Beach. We have very little snow here in Michigan so we have been laughing at him!:D

Well I'm up here in NC visiting family and we got about 12 inches. I shoveled a 2 car driveway and my parking spot. It felt good to accomplish something yesterday but now I'm ruled by the pain in my back. Another good point, I can still drive a rear wheel drive CVPI in 12 inches of snow (shades of my Ole NY days). Can't wait to be back in Fla, where I intend to go to the beach, get a drink, and call everyone i know who are in the upper 48 dealing with winter weather.

Wind is now wrapping around the lake giving us our aftershot of blow by lake effect. Hard to predict how much, but we are under a warning. That usually means a foot. Hope its enough to use the new blower so I can train the wife before my surgery. :D
Be careful out here in the snow guys!
