Today was a very Maraudery Christmas. Dave and Donna stopped by to shoot a few pics while visiting their family who happen to live nearby me. Next time, we need to get a blue to participate to represent all four colors.

I have a friend who started buying an Impala SS occasionally back in 1995 and 1996.
He ended up with a black one, a Dark Cherry Metallic one and a Dark Grey Green one.

He still has them all, low mileage, and just like new inside and out.

Sadly enough, he has also discovered that they currently hold very little value whatsoever. :mad2:

Probably not if he was willing to sell them as a package deal--then maybe get a bunch for them .... its a thought anyway...cause there is probably someone out there waiting for such a deal willing to place down the cash to add to his keep-you never know!

I'll throw the BS flag on that one. Low mile B bodies are still holding their money. They are not going to bring 25k each if they have 30k+ miles on them, but if they are low mile cars, they will bring the $$$, and selling as a set is not a bad idea either...

I agree with this, the 96 ss keeps the value very well if is kept mint with low miles. I know of a dark cherry with 18k miles back home that sold for $19k. But th vehicle was well maintained and the buyer was willing to pay anything for it. This was in 2006

If you look at the first post in this thread you will see pictures of THREE of the FOUR factory colors, really nice, well kept, naturally asperated MERCURY MARAUDERs.

When I said "very little value", I am speaking of $13,000 to $17,000 each. This is not what people expected. Just like we all hate to see the Marauders selling for about the same amounts now.

This guy also bought a few GTOs back in 2005 and 2006 too. They are not bringing very much money as well. I've seen 2 of them, a black one and a strange shade of silver/grey.

Thanks Mark for posting these pictures. It was great meeting your family and spending some time with you on Christmas. You live so close to my Mother in Palm Coast. Next trip we will spend more time together.

Have a great holiday,

A couple years ago I saw an Impala with 11 miles on it. Still had plastic. Selling for 25,000 or 30,000. Can't remember. Was in Daytona beach. Almost bought it. But I'd have a daily fight in the garage with the MM.
