It's directly behind the airbox (if you're still stock) inline with the air zip tube. You have to unplug it and to remove it you need a security torx bit. Remove the torx bit screws and pull out the MAFS, just be careful and not touch the very thin wires.

Ok it's the peace that sits on the tube right, not the piece that plugs in with the colorful wires that u r showing ctrlraven.. Next ? Would buying a new system like the jtl fix that problem.. If I'm talking about right piece.. Thanks respect

The MAFS is the piece thats in the tube where the wires plug in.
What exactly is the problem with yours? I would try cleaning it first before spending the money to replace it.

What exactly is the problem with Includes everything you need to replace your small stock intake system. You get the huge 4" JLT pipe, all reducers, clamps, MAF adaptor, heat shield and large 9 inch S&B powerstack filter. This is everything you need to install your kit.
yours? I would try cleaning it first before spending the money to replace it.
Ok was having problems with the car yesterday, it was missing real bad, so I went and change all the plugs and that didn't help so I checked the coils it ended up being #2 so I replaced it temporary with one off the other motor( same motor comes out of a buddy who total his 90xxx.) anyway went out n the morning let it warm up and after about a mile r so the car started cutting off have to start it up in Neutral and so on.. So I finally made it to advance had it put on the machine and it read mass air flow sensor and 02 sensor.. And that what makes me say mafs. O forgot have been reading about the idle air and I cleaned that also because I have been having that idleing problem to.. And now my car want stay running without my foot on the gas.. And like a stated earlier will by, buyin the JLT system fix that..

JLT is an aftermarket air intake system, it has nothing to do with your mass air flow sensor. You can buy the sensor alone, or you can get the whole MAF unit, which is 10x easier to swap. I have one for sale if need be, they are super expensive new.

Instead of wasting money on what it could be why not tell us what the actual codes are "numbers". The codes need to be diagnosed not just swap parts out spending money and hope you get it right. I see a K&N filter sticker, there did you perhaps recently oil it?

Advance didn't give them to me, they don't print them out..the guy stated that It was a mass air flow sensor and 02 sensor. And my car will start but it won't stay on without staying on the gas. So I can't care it back up there..believe me don't want to send money I don't gave..

have you ever changed your fuel filter?, and when you cleaned the iac did you ensure the port on the intake wasnt pluged with carbon build up?
reThere are a number of different MAF and O2 sensor codes and you really can't proceed to properly diagnose what the problem is w/o knowing exactly what the codes are. For example there are 4 02 sensors and it is highly unlikely all 4 failed at the same time unless your engine suddenly started burning a ton of oil and/or coolant, and I'm talking about Batmobile smoke screen quantities.
Spend the money on a cheap code reader. There are a number of connectors to connect it too your laptop and use that as a code reader with any number of FREE software to do so. Yes the free software doesn't go too far into detail but it will give you the codes. There are also basic readers that are pretty cheap.
O2 codes can be caused by bad MAF readings and once you fix the MAF problem and clear the codes the O2 codes won't come back.
Get the ability to read the codes yourself and post them. Much better to spend under a $100 for a code reader and MAF cleaner than spend $$$$$ throwing parts at the car until something fixes it. A really dirty MAF can cause hard starting, poor idle quality, pinging, reduced power and "adaptive limit reached" O2 codes.

Get some electrical contact cleaner from Radio shack. Remove the air filter and lightly spray the element inside the MAF sensor. Let it dry out before you start the car. Also make sure that your air intake tube is tight and connected to the throttle body and the MAF sensor. You may have un-metered air going in and that's whats throwing the code.

He quoted my post that had a picture of my intake.

I say unmetered air. Typical symptoms. Check all the black rubber air and vent tubes for holes, cracks and loose connections AFTER cleaning the MAF sensor.......
Do you have a mouse or bird's nest in the intake before the filter. I have seen that before, can cause the same issues.....
Just remeber, it is either air, fuel or spark.

have been reading about the idle air and I cleaned that also because I have been having that idleing problem to.. And now my car want stay running without my foot on the gas..If you cleaned the IAC and the car still won't idle without your foot in it, then it sounds like the IAC is just bad....
...or you have unmetered air like the others said above.
So Advance Auto won't print out the codes and they wouldn't even tell you what they were? :shake: If you have one near you, try AutoZone...they give you a nice little printout with all the explanations.

He had contacted me and told me the MAF cleaning took care of the problem. Im thinking the intake tube may have been loose as well.
