I just got back from the track. Made 3 passes, and decided that being 192 miles away from home, it was time to shut it down, put some air back in my ET streets, and drive back to St. Pete where I'm staying for the holidays.

If you're curious about the mods, just check out www.crownvic.net (http://www.crownvic.net). (It's the one panther on the homepage). I just took off the pushbar and am selling it because I like my times WAY too much to put it back on. (I know none of you should want this, don't worry, I wasn't trying to plug myself.)

I run steelies with a 255/50 16 MT ET street radial and 16X4.5 minispare aluminum wheels from a TC with 215/60 16s for the track. If you were curious.

first run (http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac29/cameron878/166674_1249775541014_172824133 7_462346_982022_n1.jpg)

Second run, the nitrous kit messed up in the safe way and only fuel came in for a split second, ran SUPER FAT, then the nitrous hit and ran a 13 flat.

third and final run (http://i882.photobucket.com/albums/ac29/cameron878/168339_1249795021501_172824133 7_462386_3297936_n1.jpg)

When I get a chance, I'll upload the video from the first run and post it here.

I don't get your first mod. WTF is a Mercury Grand Marquis engine from a Police Interceptor?

Nice, now if it were only a Marauder....

I don't get your first mod. WTF is a Mercury Grand Marquis engine from a Police Interceptor? "PI" in this case means "performance-improved", i.e. the car has Ford's upgraded cams/heads vs. what was originally in his car. Ford switched all their 2V motors to "PI" around '01...

Nice times. What do you run without the bottle?

Muhahaha - that's what I want to know. Nice times Cameron!

Thanks Adam, lol, these silly 4V guys. There is a world outside of DOHC. EDIT: I know it can be a little slower, and maybe more expensive to get to the same place though. LOL

I only made 3 passes, all nitrous runs. I decided after having problems the first two times at the track, that I would make up for lost time. I didn't do any NA runs. I know they would have been faster than the two 13.9s and one 13.8 I have run. I know this because last night I didn't have the pushbar on, (it's not going back on) I had aluminum wheels up front, and it was a little cooler. We'll just have to wait till the spring to find out!

Yeah we tend to run 13s without having to open the engine and install cams. ;)

Hmmmm... Must mean temperature because the car itself isn't cooler.

Hehe! J/K! Sooooo... You think the pushbar affects your aerodynamic drag coefficient that much???

Yeah we tend to run 13s without having to open the engine and install cams. ;)Good deal!

You think the pushbar affects your aerodynamic drag coefficient that much???Pushbar and brackets all together weigh 50ish lbs. Aluminum instead of steel wheels = 40 lbs? I weighed about 90lbs less (est). I have no clue about the drag coefficient thingy. I don't work for NASA, and I'm not a know it all. (I'm not saying you are) I just know what I did and what the car ran!

Weight saving is free HP. (no, not really HP, but lowers ET)
Nice looking VIC and great times. No blower whine to give it away.... Sweet. Your Vic as a nice stance.

Can you put those 12's in a car body that's a little more appealing to the eyes? Just kidding, can't knock those times, congrats man

Sounds REALLY good man! what exhaust?? Nice numbers, but nitrous is temporary LOL. Just bustin your sack of two.. :) Fix that nasty flat spot after the 2nd gear shift, and a small one after 3rd and it will be stout fo sho.

btw, push bars are LAME!:D
Sell that thing to some Whacker so I can laugh at him! Nice lookin ride you have!

IIRC correctly, the steelies are heavier than Bullitts, GTs, and Marauder rims.

Cameron, you owe it to yourself to UPGRADE! :D

Stainless Works LY headers to 2.5 in mandrel bent exhaust. Merged X-pipe with dynomax ultra flows and turn downs right before the axle. That "flat" spot is the TC locking. I have two different NA TC lockup/trans tunes to try out when I have more time. This is the only nitrous tune I have. If I find out the tune where the TC doesnt lock until 95mph in 3rd is faster, my tuner is going to hook me up with that style tune for the juice tune.

Oh, I'm sure you're right about that Adam, we'll wait till I pay off THIS build first, then start blowing more chedda.

hehe - funny comments during the video. nice wideband on your A pillar.

Sounds really good. I can hear the bottle engage in first gear and can also hear the flat spot but it's ok, it's obviously working if you ran a 12.54 -- If you leave have the TC unlocked for a bit longer you may end up running slower.

Yea, the wideband is just zip tied to the spotlight handle at the moment. I have the a pillar holder at home in TN. I'll put it on when I get home to TN. It's not to look pretty, it's there so I don't cook my pistons. :D

sounds good. I like the way the car lifts on take off.
