I know this has done before but I wanted to put up pictures of '64 fender badges on an '04 Silver Birch.
These are off my '64 Marauder that I had saved since getting new flags from Auto Krafters and having a new Marauder badge set made a number of years ago. For these I touched up the black on the flags by hand and on the Marauder emblems my paint shop sprayed them and then wiped off the silver high lights.

I have never been a fan of the fender badges that most have here, but had often wondered what a set of old-school ones would look like on our cars. And let me tell you, THAT looks awesome! Perfectly placed and wayyyy tasteful.
Looks like I might have to check eBay.

If I had a set I could probably get these made, but I am not sure that they are different enough from the other badges to warrant the cost of making them (dies would have to be made up, etc.)

^^^THIS^^^ is exactly what I have wanted to do to my DTR for a couple years now.
I have the MARAUDER badges, just not the flags and honestly, have not searched for them in quite a while.
This looks damn good man!
Hmmm... Auto Krafters appears to have the flags in stock too...

Exactly what I was planning on doing.

Your mods look very nice. How did you get the embossed Mercury head on the air intake?

You are lucky to have the Marauder badges. When I had mine done I sent a good one to a Mercury vendor in Hemmings who had a jeweler duplicate it. I got two perfect ones back that are now on my '64 along with the repro flags from Auto Krafters ($40 each in a catalog from '06). I'm pretty sure the vendor is no longer in business as I don't see his ads anymore. He was a Mercury employee in New York state (salesman, mechanic, parts, I don't know) but he would buy spare parts each payday and saved them to sell after retirement. He also made trips out west to strip good parts off cars. My '04 also came with a small checkered flag on the right side of the dash on the carbon fiber.

If there is enough interest I wouuld be interested in a set or three depending on cost.....

It was cut/trimed from the top of a 1965 Mercury windshield washer reservior ...

I guess this question is for me but I'm not really sure what you mean. Badges on the right fender are the same as these on the left, except of course "Marauder" reads back to front instead of front to back. Car has 8" of snow on it now.

Oh, I was wondering whether there was a RH & LH flag, but apparently there is.

U R correct that there are different flag badges for the right and left fenders. There is no retailer that I know of for the badge that says "MARAUDER" on it, unless you go with the one piece flag and MARAUDER badge that has shown up on the site before. Actually if you look in my photo gallery on the new member in NE Kansas forum, on a '64 Montclair, there were three horizontal "spears" behind the front wheel and the flag and MARAUDER badge were in front of the front wheel.
