Well after 17 months of fun I just traded my 2003 Marauder in, I hated to do it, sure has been fun to drive and really gots lots of attention but living in NY state on the lake effect shore of Lake Ontario the snow has just been too much, (stuck twice already this year). The good news is my Mercury dealer gave me a great trade in value on a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer. Tells me my car has been sold to a dealership in North Carolina already. I'll keep in touch here I think this board has been great for information and news. OK, not all the time but most of it. I'll probably get the urge again to buy something exciting but for now I'll just play the old retired guy.

It wouldve been cheaper to just slap some snow tires on there.
Just have to use 2nd gear alot in the real slippery stuff.
What was the trade $$$ he gave you?

Well....I drove last winter. Lake effect? I laugh at lake effect!
We got over a foot in the last 12 hours of 'lake effect'.
For the small price of $500 or so, you could have played with the big boys no problem. I ran studded Kelly's, and Alpines and had little or no problem without traction control. I don't need no stinkin' traction control!!!
I am sad that you are no longer an owner/member....but not for your loss. Sorry. No sympathy for quiters, never had. There was an alternative....but a truck wasn't it.
