I'm looking at doing lower control arms and the watts link in the near future to add to my list of upgrades for this year which all the parts are in the basement awaiting for spring to arrive.

I been looking and does anyone here run the METCO set up?

any issues,complaints?ride quality, Etc.............

Lots of guys do and they work well. I have Sparta CA's and Watt's links on the SB and they work great and I believe they are less expensive and you get a choice of colors. Check out Sparta's site, they are a vendor here. Tommy will hook you up(pun intended):)

i have Metco CA and instantly felt the difference. on certain bumps like going over a bridge the booty use to get loose but not anymore and ride feels like your stuck to the ground more. get them!

I have metcos!

Seriously one of the best mods I have on the DOOMSDAY machine.

If you are S/C I would highly reccomend getting these.

They help keep my car going in a straight line! :drive:

+2!!!!!!!!!!!

Metco upper & lower rear control arms

Metco Watts link

Metco driveshaft hoop

I'd also put Addco solid front & rear sway bars on.

All on my MM.

Don't have Metco but I do have Sparta control arms and watts links and I instantly felt better launches and more control. One of the best mods I've done after the Supercharger and high stall converter:D

Metco arms and Watts are very good however to toot my own horn the bushings in the parts I sell are far superior to anything out there by anyone. It's the bushings that are the heart of suspension parts. Feel free to PM with any questions you have.

the CHE from Sparta do the job really well, i had them in my first car. took them out, bushings were perfect and now they have been on this car for a while too, no problems at all.

+1 for sparta CA. Really helped keeping the rear planted along with sway bars.

Tommy

What is the difference between yours and the metco?
Energy suspension?
Material of the arms itself?

Thx

If you like old skool, musclemerc has a really spiffy design for boxed OEM control arms.

No they're not generic Energy Suspension bushings like everyone else uses. They are custom made from a local manufacturer for the Panther chassis, they're made using pour mold method for added strength and use a Delrin sleeve for lubrication.

The material of the arms and Watts is high strength steel so there are no fatigue issues as with aluminum.

Thank You good Sir. Save your money and get a set of the Musclemerc CA's, besides some of us know from experience which bushin is better suited for our 4300lb sleads (Metco's bushin has been prone fail in the past)
*just my opinion so please do not flame me*

I've had my Metco's installed for over 50k and the bushing are still perfect. I grease them once a year.

In my opinion Metco makes the best control arms for our car and have years of experience, and donate to our events every year, I was the person that sent them a set of stock control arms to to the research and develop with, Cathy and Rick are great people. I normally stock them but can have them made in three days, they come with Polly Urethane bushings and grease fittings and the bushings can be replaced.

Yea...and!!! I donate a set of factory arms to C.H.E. for them to fabricate and I donate to events as well. Side by side (and we know the stock bushings are JUNK so no camparison there) the Metco's are good just not as good as mine! :D And that's a fact.

ive been looking at both of these carefully as control arms are on my list, both seem to be high quality and i dont think one is any better than the other, the only way you ruin a poly bushing is improper install(over tightening), for me it comes down to which is a better buy!

but im leaning torward metcos!

I'm sure they are, they have some really good parts. I have their GT-500 TB kit on my Mustang and the fit and finish of the spacer, along with the Venturi in the bores is excellent machining.

That's cool, you'll be more then happy with the Metco's. I'm not here to start a pissing contest, just tooting!!
