Thanks for this interesting post. Maybe someone has the 2004 version to post.
I stored the MM in Nov and was struggling thru the snow with a 02 Silverado 2wd. It is a POS in the snow. Enduring this truck for the last 3 winters is the price to be paid for keeping the MM nice.
I was impressed by Ford's resistence to becoming Gov't motors 2 and really wanted to buy a F150 4wd. The motors always seemed weak until 2011 when the 6.2 was included in the line. Sadly I visited the dealer with cash in hand to order one in Oct. Despite my reasoning they refused to sell me a truck built the way I wanted it. Nothing exotic but still $45k.
I had been considering a TBSS since they discontinued them in 08. The 6L/AWD seemed perfect for snow and some fun. As I spun thru the first snowfalls in Detroit in Nov driving the Silverado, I decided to see what TBSS were available. Sure enough a dealer nearby had an 09 (built nov 08 just before the line shut down) with 14k, Silverstone, AWD and babied by the original owner. I now drive it past the Silverado which is quietly parked at the edge of the drive covered with snow. This TBSS goes like a scalded dog even in snow. It will not replace the MM. It will rest all summer while the MM again will haunt the highways of the motor city.
Reading the post made me realize how much I really like the MM best of all.

04 SB, Triology # 197 (DD summer)
04 DTR stock (for now) (GQ and maybe 2025 Barret Jackson consignee)
09 TBSS (DD winter)

I also found the comparisons to other cars of the day to be interesting...

Hey look at page 3 table of contents

Under Presentation - Muscle Car Thrill. I guess that answers the question brought up in the other thread about whether or not the Marauder is a muscle car!
