HomeLink Problem

OK, I know one of you guys'll have an answer for this.

The in-car button to open/close the garage door has worked fine for years. It just stopped working. The door still responds to the regular opener. When I reprogram the link (clear all previous, hold the remote close, etc.), the button acknowledges input from the remote (flash, flash, flash, ....), but when I push the button, there's no response from the garage door opener. The opener is not a rolling code unit, so that's not the problem. I have re-programmed/re-entered about ten times and I still can't get the link to work.
Any ideas, y'all?

Have you tried programming one of the other buttons? In the event the contacts on the one you normally use aren't functional, maybe you can get one of the other two to work; just a thought.

When I first got my Marauder and tried to program the opener on button #1, I could not get it to work at all. I called the phone number in the owner's manual and they walked me through it, using button #3, as they said it provided a "stronger" signal. I've had no trouble since then.

Well I dunno but the Homelink may have failed, just because it can learn the signal doesn't mean it can transmit it...
