I blame Marty for making me start this thread. Lets see your little cars; here are mine:

PS My favorites are the ones in the second pic, they remind me of that old "Car toons" magazine!

Great stuff, Jim!

I had quite a collection, back in the day. There prolly still stashed in a box somewhere in my Mom's house.

I see your 21 car in the third pic, too.

I used to love that magazine.

Got rid of my model car collection many years ago.

Yeah Casey, 2 plankowners and 1 bluenose, we were off Murmansk in 1976 on the Luce. As for Flashman, everyone I know that read the first one has read all of them. As for dust, ah, sad but true. My office is my "fortress of solitude"!

Die casts are one of my passions for sure!

I liked the guy and agreed with his politics until I learned he was a total dirtbag PoS.

67 GTO
67 Eleanor GT500
01 Crown vic (MM conversion soon)
62 Olds Starfire
69 hurst 442
NYPD Crown vic (with working lights and siren.)
NYPD Impala (I have never seen another anywhere in the country or on ebay)

Tamiya Knight Hauler RC truck with multi-function unit. (took over 2 weeks to build, paint, and wire up)

Heres what the truck sounds and performs like. Tommy from Sparta can tell you how realistic this thing sounds in person.

All my other cars are stored away in my closet. I have a lot of Franklin mint cars and trucks along with licensed NASCAR collector signed cars in the box. I also have a extensive Hess truck collection since 1976. Those are stored in a trunk in the original boxes with bags and batteries.

Those Tamiya models are a *****, I used to build F1 cars back in the 70's and you had to build the springs for the suspension and run plug wires! Nice collection!

The truck has a 3spd manual transmission complete with syncros and forks. You have to install all the gears with bearings then align it so the gears mesh. The rears are a working differential with spider gears and a ring and pinion. Very detailed and time consuming putting this thing together, but worth it when you see it run and function like a real truck.

Hope you haven't been storing batteries since 1976. I used to have a Hess tanker when I was a kid, early 70's, but Mom did some cleaning and "poof" gone:mad2::bigcry:

god looking at everyones collections , really makes me want to hurry up and get out of this condo . i had to give up my office/toy room when our 3rd child was born . but he needs his own room so all the toys , models and car parafenalia got put in to toats and boxs.
