It always works like this for me...I go to look at a car, guy says it has some rust, shouldn't be a problem to fix. The price is low enough for me to come out an look at it. I get there, there's WAY more rust or other problems with the car than I want to deal with so I pass. Right after I'm done I get on craigslist (once upon a time it was autotrader) and find a car in better condition for slightly more, but a much better buy.
Well, what I just described happened to me this weekend. I went to look at a 64 Cadillac. Guy wanted $2000 for it, said it needed a new floor pan. Not a big deal since that's a usual rust spot for the car and pans aren't hard to get. I give the car a one over, and notice what I had feared. Another problem spot for those older Caddys is the rocker panels...it needed both inside and out. Other problems included two chipped pistons and more body work than I felt like dealing with in the car.
So I get home, check my list of 19 more cars I want to add to my collection before I turn 45. See some decent deals, but nothing that really catches my eye. Low and behold, there it is. An Arizona car for life, so paint is baked, but a complete car. Rust not even worth mentioning and a slight crease in the driver's quarter that won't be a problem to fix. A price that I would say is really good.
So, I'm sure by now everyone is thinking, "SHUT UP! Let's see pics!" Okay, but first...I will say I looked at Marauders first, but couldn't find one in similar condition for the same price as

Now I just need to figure out how to get it from AZ to the OH...
