Never cared for that MarkVII's but I did like the thought of it. Just not the way they look.

air suspension is not near as expensive as in the past. case in point just checked out rear air bag, $58 shipped. In the day seems like they were about $150. It does take time to find the issues but the ride is unmatched. The Mark VII handles very well and is cushy.

I drove a MkVII for over a decade, loved it. Mine was white, just like yours. True, the air suspension frequently needs new airbags, but they're quick & easy to replace and not very expensive. Get some newer wheels for it and it'll really look sharp. The '90 model LSC came with much nicer wheels.

Did your have the cloth seats with leather bolsters? I had never really seen that before.

Already asking questions on some mark sites and also on Corral.net. Got a GT40 intake and GT40P set of heads cornered but not bought. The stuff for 302s is insanely cheap. I can get the heads and intake for $300 shipped, used but it is 40 bolted on HP. Also so many headers, MAFs, TCs, 24lb injecters $100, and cams $100 bucks, so yeah I am probably going to go for about 270 -300 rwhp for less than $500.

OBTW, took the Mark to get some mufflers, guy said $180 for a set of magnaflows but he had some stainless factory GT mustang used mufflers he could put on it and they were in great shape, I says how much? $60, I says Okie Dokie. Also he said the car looked like a new one underneath. I am pretty happy with my purchase.

Yes, I really liked that. Power side bolsters, power lumbar support, six way, manually adjustable headrests and thigh supports. Blue interior, white exterior.

In 89, my boss gave me the option of flying from Newark to a meeting in Rochester/Lake Canandaigua), or renting a car that was "above my corporate status" and driving back and forth.

No brainer.

I rented a new Mark and had a fantastic trip.

Great car.

Nice Lincoln!!! You've got to love those stone cold reliable 5.0 pushrod motors!

:hmmm:

Ya know....you can retrofit a T5 transmission into one of those pretty easy!

I saw a 5 speed conversion at a local car show and was talking to the owner.
He said that he really likes leaving a toll booth and racing...err.....pacing another car next to him.
But he said that the best part was when he would lay rubber and bark second gear while the other driver was doing this:

The only problem I really have with the car is that it being basically a Fox body it is a little smaller than I prefer in the drivers seat, not uncomfortable by no means but not as much wiggle room as the MO. The seats however are top notch and very comfortable in a sporty way not a overpuffed way. It has a front bolster that you can adjust out for lengthening the seat bottom and me being long legged it works out great, I hate a short bottomed seat.
