Yeah, takes tree hugging to a whole new level. And along with the tree sex, they also have dragon sex. Whole movie made Starship Troopers look like Oscar winning material.

I agree. Add to that the Corporations are EVIL angle. However, the computer animation etc in 3D was spectacular!

Avatar is a great movie!

Saw it in a theatre, then went out and got the DVD shortly thereafter.

Fired it up at home, cranked the digital surround sound, enjoying it with several cold beers.

Starship troopers is the biggest hunk of crap ever put on film. MST3K should make a spoof of it. Its like those awful Syfi original movies that are completely unwatchable.

2 hours of watching a depressed woman ballet dance? Let's see the list of things I would rather do

1) Slit my wrists
2) Watch Oprah
3) Drive a ricer
4) Watch Paint dry
5) Watch re-runs of game shows
6) kick myself in the nards
7) drive a DTR
8) Listen to Britney spears
9) Masterbate with a Cheese Grader
10) Watch a Documentary on creating crayons

You get the idea, and FWIW, I liked Avatar, really wish I would have gone and seen it in the theatre.

If I had to pick just one overrated movie it would be "Prancing with Wolves". I cant believe it got the oscar over Goodfellas. Ill add it to the list of "all the Indians are noble, everyone else is evil" movies. For a more realistic view of Indian/immigrant movies I recommend "Black Robe".

I have not seen "Avatar" and am not interested in CGI/cartoon "fantasy" movies (happy flying dragons, ect...)

Yeah, Police Academy one was alright, but then they made a TV season out of it.

I personally liked the Lethal Weapons, especially 2. 3 was kind of blah, but I liked 4.

I can see the plot for Lethal Weapon 5 now.

Riggs and Murtaugh are now in a retirement home and they ahve to solve the case of the missing walker. Riggs loses it because he is being spoonfed Kosher food.

Spot on Vortex...... Goodfella's was so accurate a portrayal of the gangster lifestyle during that time period it was scary. I went to college in Providence RI while Henry Hill was in protective custody at the Providence Police Station for a time.

They used to take him parachuting for fun (go figure), and order in all kinds of nice italian meals for him from Federal Hill restaurants.

I ran clubs in Providence during this time, so I had friends who were cops, and friends who were........... Needless to say when I saw Goodfellas for the first time, I was amazed at how accurately Martin Scorssese portrayed all the characters down to the smallest detail like the restaurant scenes (In RI anyways, liquor bottles on the tables were against the law...Nobody ever said a thing about it to them though) the conversations, and the knuckleheaded behavior.

While I did not mind Dances with Wolves, it did not come close to the realism of Goodfellas. Not even close.

For me it was a trip down memory lane:coolman:.

As far as this "Black Swan" business? "Automotive ballet" like F1 or WRC, drifiting, NASCAR ect. is the only kind i'm interested in :burnout:

Shooter. They got a lot of the science right, but how about some decent acting to go with it? This movie was the wet dream of many a gun nut.

Honorable mention goes to "JFK." Congratulations, Oliver Stone. You reduced one of the most hotly debated events in the last 100yrs to a homosexual thrill killing. Twat.

You're so right, and it's a shame. It truly could have been an exceptional movie, filled with Intrigue, and even a well founded conspiracy. I submit, when you are going to do a movie based on real events, it should be done similar to Apollo 13, we all knew how it was going to end, yet the suspense and emotional roller coaster were still intact with great acting and the fact that it stayed on point throughout the movie.

Meet Joe Black was the worst movie ever.

It could have been a 30 minute show, but went on for 3 hours...

I really didn't like the anti-military slant in Avatar but the CGI was good.

Caddyshack 2 was horrible as well.

Arnold and Sly make good movies. You know they are going to be over the top and campy so you will have fun watching. Best movie series ever made has to be the Dirty Harry series. Worst movie ever made is Enchanted April. Paula made me watch this horror show and I still am reeling from it 15 years later.
