I use a phone number, as in

"Leasing office, I know we never see snow, but there is this white stuff in my driveway, come and get it"

Works like a charm

Kinda. I just sold my thrower I had, too bulky and didn't throw far at all. This one shoots over 30 FEET!:D It chewed through just fine this morning, and through it completely over the front yard and laid it nicely on the neighbors driveway and then his roof. Outa sight, outa mind...:cool4: Any other smart ass questions Mikey?:P

Any good suggestions on getting the snow off the car without screwing the clearcoat up. Usually I'll shovel the top layer off, clean the windows and then go on the parkway to blow the rest off. I'm going to be out there with the buffer in the spring. :(

Something like a shovel made for cars?

Maybe a shop broom till you get close to the paint then a new soft floor squeegee? Tough call, mine gets scuffed just looking at it...

Leafblower??

I have a yard king (i think) that i bought when we had the 36" of snow in DE years back. Broke the auger cable a couple of years ago in a snow episode and bought two replacements. Wouldn't be without it and luv the electric start!

Toro CCR2450-GTS, like this one:
http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/productImages/3/9/00000121339-ToroCCR2450GTS-large.jpeg

Starts on the first pull every time and goes through everything I've put it through without complaining. I can't ask for much more than that.

Looks like what I started with 16 years ago. Got tired of replacing belts, but mine was't a Toro. My new Toro starts 1st pull everytime no matter what the temperature. It has electric start, but takes longer to drag the cord out than to start by hand. :coolman: Eats everything in its path. I can do two yards in the time it used to take to do one. Plus it has a three year full warranty, five year on major parts. Built like a tank too. It was a no brainer. Forgot, 14"+ on top of what was already here and its snow again. I guess the girls will be busy in the morning.

TORO Powerlite.

It has handled everything even up to 18" of snow. On those days I have to go over everything twice, though. It was free (a housewarming gift from my dad) when we bought our first house 13 years ago. Still runs strong.

It is getting traded in soon, or likely I will buy a new on in the spring and then wait until the first blizzard next year and put this one on the swap sheet / Craigslist.

"Fully fueled and ready to go, you come get it." $500.

I bet it sells.

Believe it or not, until just last year, I used a shovel. My whole life here in Buffalo, my Dad never told me were allowed to use a snow thrower......

My Brother gave me his old Craftsman. Sure is easier on my old back, but it doesn't do near as good a job as a shovel. The year we got 8 feet of snow in two days really sucked. Had to shovel about every three hours, was hell to throw it so far over my head.

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery/data/500/thumbs/joes6.jpg (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery/showphoto.php/photo/19076/ppuser/4038)

Note the shovels.

They just pack the snow down. Plus, I drive a ton and am not about to put it on and take it off all the time. I would hate to drive down the highway all week with a plow on the front of my truck. Additionally, I have NO room to store the damn thing when not in use. Time to move.

My Mother has a plow guy come. I have to go over and scrape 3 inches of packed snow and ice so she does not slip and fall...

I hate winter in Buffalo. Would be much more palatable in Honolulu.
