I never know whether to believe these factory claims. Next thing we will here is Ford did something to the other guys or they added special stuff to the fuel. I'll believe it better when its confirmed by an independent source.

I've got an EcoBoost in a '10 Lincoln MKT AWD. Moves pretty good. 6 speed automatic with paddle shifters.

I would love to see if Ford could put ecoboost in a better engine, ie Coyote 5.0 (Hey I can have dreams too). Now if only Ford could make a RWD sedan with that then I'll be a true Ford guy again.

Seems like they were comparing 'apples to apples'.
All models were 4x4s crewcabs and there was no hanky panky with gear ratios*/transmissions.
That little EcoBoost lays down 420 FT-LBS at only 2500 rpm!.....:bows:
That's why it annihilated both competitors in the 0-60 runs and beat the Chevy overall like a red headed stepchild!
The HEMI started to gain some back on the lonnnnnnng uphill pull.
(I'd guess that the EcoBoost's turbos and intercooler were totally heat soaked.)
*Ford = 3.73
Dodge = 3.92
Chevy = 3.42
They should have used a 3.73 Chevy gear to make it an absolutely even test...but the Chevy got stomped so bad I don't think a 3.73 would have helped much.
Plus, the 3.42 gear is the highest available gear in that Chevy model.

It seems like a fair test but I think you know what I mean. If it goes unconested byDodge and Chevy I have no problem with it. Wonder why they didn't include Toyota and Nissan? Well I know why they didn't include the Titan :chicken::chicken::cool:

The 4.0 V6 in my wife's 2006 Explorer is slow but it pulls my 6 place loaded atv trailer ok.

So do I, The rear kept blowing up every time they wanted to make a pull with the trailer. :D
Plus according to Nissan's website, the maximum load with the upgraded trailer package is 9500 lbs.
Dodge, Chevy and Ford are all just under 11K lbs for towing. They also offer bigger trucks in the line that will pull over 15K lbs for towing where the Nissan has no such upgrades and will continue being the wannabe that they have always been in this segment. ;)

Most of the problems the Titan encountered were in the '04-'06 model years. Haven't had a lick of trouble with mine. Pulls like a freight train, just wish the crappy Goodyears could keep up. Unfortunatly the Goodyears are wearing well so I'm not going to replace them untill they're shot. I don't tow anything except my fat butt and it launches up hills like a spark plug goes through your motor:D;)

Only thing that bugs me is that they didn't use the GM 6.2L instead, and picked on the bastard child 5.3. Even the old 5.4 had no problem with the GM 5.3...
