View Full Version : Got my Marauder back, air suspension issue?

Hey all,
Got my Marauder back from the body shop Friday and things are looking good. The car runs well, tracks well, and looks great. There are a few little things that are odd, though, including a strange tendency for the air suspension compressor to run for a second or two every time I pull up to a stop light. The car never used to do this before it was in the accident. While driving it rarely comes on, but whenever I pull up to a light and stop I get the bzzzzzzzzzz of the compressor for just a second or two.
I've been underneath the car and looked at ride level sensor and it looks secure. I thought perhaps it was loosened in the collision, but it looks ok.
Any recommendations?

taht it was out of alignment or something. I would get it to the dealer to have it checked. Wouldn't want the pump to puke out on you.

Fourth - Glad to see you are back on the road. Several other northern owners noticed that our pumps are running more frequently in the cold weather. Not sure why that is, but it might be normal what your pump does?!?!
Take care,

I suspect a small leak in the air suspension lines. Make some soapy water and spray it on all air line fittings from the bags in the back up to the compressor dryer. May see bubbles indicating leak. Good Luck.
Finally!! I'm glad your baby is back on the road!

Hrmmm... I might just see if I can run it past the dealer service department after the holiday. Thanks for the suggestions, folks.

My car has about 1500 miles on it and does the exact same thing. I took it to the dealer and they said it was fine, but then again they are idiots.
Let me know if you find out what is causing yours or if it is normal.

Will do. My body shop is going to forward this and a couple of small electrical issues to the dealer for repair. I'll let you know what they come up with.

Westgate Lincoln Mercury in Lombard. They are good in terms of getting an appointment quickly and providing a loaner car. However, they have not been able to fix the subwoofer rattle and they tried to charge me $57 for an oil change. If you know of any better dealerships in the area, let me know.
Finally! Great to have you back on the road with the rest of us, Fourth.
