I drove from seattle to portland to drive this mm at a dealership. Mother ****er over heated on the test drive! What the hell. Should I buy it? They are replacing the thermostat and said there was air in the line. They are discounting it.

Air in the system will cause the over heat. Very common, if they are discounting the car then you are getting a great deal over something common and minor.

Happened to me the first time I drove mine, if it has been sitting for awhile I would put my money on this being the cause as well.

It has 83k they bled it and everything was normal, I drove it for about 20 minutes. It only ran overheated for a few minutes.

Sounds like air. I bled mine over and over and it ran hot a hour into a drive. If they are not sure how to do it, they won't get all the air out.
I would still be interested in this car if they are planning to make it right for you.

They lowered the price a little. I think I might get it at $10,500.

Yea these cars can be annoying to burp correctly. I've gotten mine back from the dealer with the system filed incorrectly. When you think you got all the air out there's always more. Very common. There's probably nothing wrong with the car. The dealer is telling you the truth. If you can take advantage of it and get a discount, go for it.

VERY common, I run my car for a minimum of 45 minutes with the cap off the crossover tube (front, top of engine with 1/4" square socket hole) and a funnel pushed down into it tightly with antifreeze in the funnel at ALL times. I have never ever ever had an issue doing it this way. Good luck sir.
