White Headlights??

Hey Guys....

I have seen in Wal-Mart some so called white lights for Crown Vics. Do any of you know of a bulb that is as white as the newer Jap and European cars that will work in my MM ??:confused:

I bought some a couple of years ago and they weren't really any different!!:mad:

You guys are teaching me to look around the site for answers and about the time I posted this I found the answer!! ;)

I got the 9007 SilverStars at "Wally World" for $37 and change then had to figure out how to put them in.....Not an easy task!! :(

After taking the light units out I put the right one back and forgot the %&*#@%%* rubber boot so by the time I finished I could do it in my sleep!!!:)

I'll try them tonight and see what a difference it makes!!:rolleyes:

If you don't like those....9007 lamps are popular in the aftermarket. Any ricer shop, or Summit, etc., will carry Xenon. They will appear whiter to slightly bluish. Also, you can upgrade the low OEM wattages to higher wattage low/high beam ratings. I use Xenon with a higher wattage-80/100. I have not had any trouble with this higher wattage as far as heat, or wire issues. I rarely use the high beams, and don't seem to agrivate on coming drivers.

I also have 100w Xenon fog lamps with (factory) diffuser removed

All of my rear light also have been upgraded to 34XX series bulbs which are roughly 3 times brighter.

I've been tempted to replace the headlight bulbs with something whiter, but don't really want to do it if the color doesn't match well with the driving lights. Seems like they should be close to the same or it might not look good. Thoughts?
