In the very near future if not now.
Ugh,...
This was only a month ago, and made my fears grow to an even higher level than before.

Not much scares me in my old age, but this definately has my undivided attention.
Mike.
Who's the banjo player with your daughter?!?! I say we go get him!!!

Where is the:dunno: problem?
What are you talking about? A teenage girl growing up?
It's rocket science man, set the rules up front first, not at the time of an infraction. Be a father figure, that is, be there. Talk with her, not down to her, share your life stories. Heck, you've watched enough TV to know all the problems these girls have.
Happy parenting, my daughter was my joy and I'm her favorit father. She will do anything for me, because I was a parent, a confidant, a friend, and I was there.
The only thing to fear is fear itself (who said that anyway)
Best to you, Mike

I suspect that you have had problems for years. You are just finding out about them now. ;) Very nice pic of Daughter and Dad.
Better start putting the "qualification" test together now. When my daughter was at that age, I used to meet all the new boyfriends at the door and ask them if they were prepared to Take the Test? Only 100 questions, multiple choice and a few essay questions. Make sure that you completely fill the oval with the pencil mark. Some of these guys never came back. :o No sense of humor.
However, one guy showed up who just couldn't be intimidated. When I got to the part about the test ..... he pulled two sharpened #2 pencils out of his pocket and says "Hope its not more than 2 hours 'cause I've got reservations at the restaurant." They were married about 18 months later. :D
The 2 sons were MUCH easier to deal with than 1 girl. Of course when they are all back for the holidays and want to reminisce about all the stuff that they did ...... I tell them that I just prefer to remain ignorant of such things. :P
Here's my "little ones" .....

I don't have to worry about that with Lisa. She takes after momma, thinks my car is "annoying." :P
Now E-Dubb on the other hand...

I think about my baby (8yrs) girls future all the time. But I am with and there for her all the time. I teach her what's right (DTR) :) and what's wrong (black, silver, and blues) :) in this world. And try to guide her. I think we will be alright.

I was a Police Officer I did not have many boy problems. They all knew me from the streets. I did have a great relationship with my 3 daughters. 2 are married and the other one will proberly never get married. Semi good son-in-laws, I knew them since they were very young. Good luck and love them every day.

My 13 yr old has her own firearms and we shoot together regularly. That gets the respect of most of the boys and scares the rest away.

When my daughter turned 17, she awoke to find a Mustang GT, slightly modified, in the driveway with her name on it. As she learned to drive at that level, I increased the level of performance in her car. She regularly goes to Englishtown with My son and I as we Drag Race.
My grand daughter sits in the stands with "Grand-Ma" looking at how her mother races her Uncle and her Grand-Pa.
Life goes on... and it passes fast.. so enjoy every minute and take pictures!
