Ordered: 2011 FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE INTERCEPTOR
With many help from members on Crownvic.net and with the panthers facing extinction I placed my order for a brand new CVPI today. The last day to order is the upcoming Monday. I intially wanted to get a Grand Marquis but I couldn't find any equipped to my liking.

Monday! Wow, the end of an era...I thought they would never stop being produced.
They, with only a few minor face lifts over the years, have got to rank near the top for longest running production. 19 years, thats got to be a record for American manufacturers. It at least ties a Model T.

Thank you everyone for your kind words.

Hi Drew -- You are correct, they are fleet vehicles. However, if you seriously want one Sutton Ford in Chicago has brand new ones on their lot and I'm sure they can order you one. I paid MSRP for mine, there are no incentives on the CVPI. Ended up being $28,xxx. Even at list price, the CVPI is still a lot better of a value then the Charger, Taurus, Impala.

The dealer is trying to set it up to be built during the plant tour in late June. About the only thing cooler than watching YOUR car being built while we're there would be if you could drive it off the line like they let owners do at the 'vette plant.

Peter, can we order ballistic door panels or do we need to be officers? Well No necesary J-lo !ups! sorry I mean J-bo but they can make a you a file of you this for security measures and they can investigate if the car is yours well at least here in P.R. are a company that makes armor for almost any car,SUV or 4x4 but you have to provide personal info and they create a file which can be revised by the police and they can visit you unexpetely to verify if you own the vehicle. :uzi:

Peter, can we order ballistic door panels or do we need to be officers?
Judging by the size of them, the door skin would have to be removed in order to install them.
BTW, the price for the pair list will cost 2 Trilogy Kits.

Waste of money unless you plan on being shot at IMHO (or you are an LEO and use your car for wok).Well VORTEX mang here in P.R. with the criminal wave growing and growing many people are requesting the services of a company here that offer armor for the amlost any vehicle no matter if is SUV,Car,Van, or truck due that now the criminals have extendes his firefights on the highways ,principal and secondary roads even in rural areas and in a few of thos shotouts innocent people get shot so they for security puposes are donig this but depending what you want it can cost up to $14.000.00 for a complete armoring a vehicle and this include the wheels too. :uzi:

When the bad guy is shooting at you, trust me it is worth every penny for your safety.
While your at it you may just get the bad guy as well.
Won't stop a RPG but should stop a 45 or shot gun blast.
I hope the Marshal Service gets them soon. Most times though it's marked cars
and not unmarked cars that get shot at. Least they have those spot lights sticking
up. Like at Dennis's shop.
