I might have to my car out of the garage soon. I was thinking of putting a cover on it when I have it in the street all week. I want to keep it clean and free from bird crap, falling branches... exc, but this wouldn't be until summer. I know there are good quality covers that you can lock from the bottom.

I have seen a few here and there around the city, but I want to know if this is legal. The reason I would think it might be illegal is because the license plate would be covered along with the windshield for the city sticker. I have a tag and the sticker so nothing illegal about the car.

Just wanna know if this is allowed before I buy a cover for protection to find out I must remove it.

Thanks!

If you can muster up the brain power to figure out what state you live in, I bet there is a vehicle code to go along with it that would have information on this.
