There is only one front and rear OEM Marauder bumper available from Ford. Once they are sold out, the part becomes obsolete.

Reproduction fronts are readily available. Rears are the ones to worry about, some of the reproduction ones don't have the lettering so you have to be careful.

Sooner or later some of us will be running Crown Vic/Marquis bumper covers. No real biggie. One things for sure, those will never run out of supply.

Money can build anything, but this is kinda depressing. Especially because it's always someone crashing into me ruining my bumpers.

Naa. I'm a pretty lucky guy. Never got hurt in any accidents, ever. That's why I love big vehicles, to be protected from everyone else.
Dangit, and here I am right in the middle of transitioning my Grand Marquis into a Marauder. Now I have to figure out what to do with all this black paint I just bought.

If anybody has theirs replaced, ask the shop if you can have the old one if it isn't too badly damaged. It's never a bad idea to have a backup, besides, they just end up in the trash if they don't give it to you.

what i really find absolutely ridiculous is that you can buy an MB AMG bumpers for less than a marauder bumper

what?? AMG benzes are produced in a LOT fewer numbers and the bumpers sell for half the price of marauder bumpers.
if you REALLY think that you are paying that much because of "one of a kind" status then you are delusional.
sorry guys but lets face it you are really getting ***** on this whole deal! no lube either!

I talked to my local Ford shop today and they said there were 12 rear covers available from Ford and 0 fronts although he said there may be covers available at local ford parts shops.
He also said that Ford has a tendency to inflate prices on items it is discontinuing. Front cover listed for 1500.+ and the rear was 1000.+.

I suspect one reason bumper covers are running out is because of the numerous Crown Vic/Marquis fake-o "conversions" out there.:mad2:

We need to keep our bumpers on our cars in bubble wrap to protect them ,lol. Stay away from curbside parking to keep the people bumping into our cars.

Ford said they had none but dealers might have them. Have your dealer do a parts search.

^^^ People don't do that as much as you think.
MMs aren't Cobra Rs, man.
It's more likely that Ford doesn't make them any more, which means the price will go up. Anyone trying to buy OEM MarkVIII parts knows this all too well.
Even some OEM parts for my '93 are overpriced.
