Read the reviews.

I laughed at a couple of them.

"This by far is the best thing Ive bought of the mercury line,to bad they only made 1year of Blue hot color I get the chicks, great back seat no need for a hotel, now all I need is a 5.0 new v-8 inside."

No one said they had to be able to see to sell cars. They obviously can't.

Actually, visually vehicles with a B-pillar between the front and rear windows are considered two door sedans. But empirically, the SAE defined it as a 2 door car with the back seat room of a sedan i.e. 30+ cubic feet of space behind the front seats.

Not for sale anymore! It came to its deserving owner 2 days ago. Got it for a steal 8500 out the door. Needs some serious work done to it but its a rare MM to start with! This MM seems to be a PI. The shift points are way different than my old 300A Marauder and I driven a couple Crown Vics PI's and this Marauder feels just like it. It has a built date of August 2002 (8/02)

The Bad

-Needs a repaint and a couple dents popped out.
-A little rust on the undercarriage but theres always a under carriage detail for that!
-Interior such as seats was very dirty. Scrubed the hell out the seats with Lexol leather cleaner. Has the infamous hole in the drivers seat bracket. (Probaly gona end up replacing the whole inside MM seats if i find a good clean MM in the salvage yard)
-Pinion Seal is shot, rotors and brakes all need to be replaced, EATC is bad, water crossover pipe is rusted.
-2 out of 4 of the wheels are scratched.
-Had a Neglected 2nd owner and probaly 1st

The Good

Came fully loaded with every option an early 300a build could come with such as

-Webasto Dealer aftermarket sticker price add on Moonroof which looks factory. It also closes automatically on its own when you step out the car.
-I always wanted a Moonroof but never was a fan of 300B's MM and the whole T/C mess. So this was the closest I can get to finding a rare 300A Black with Moonroof
-Dealer Rear Spoiler add on
-Trunk Organizer
-Spare Wheel
-Stock Radio
-Never and I mean never been in no collision
-The engine is quiet

Theres some weird stuff too on the build of it. Even though its an early build 300A 8/02 theres some stuff i noticed that my old 300A which had a build date of 9/02 never had.
-Valve Covers arent black there silver
-The Dot Matrix Panel were the adjustable pedals are has some weird slot in the back out of it that looks like the T/C wanted to be there but it wasnt.
-The fuse box thats under the driver side dash has a weird wire connected to the fuse slot 15 which i ended up doing some research in the owner manual and that fuse slot location is 15 and uses a 15A fuse and what that manual says is
"Speed Control, Police Vehicle Option, LCM, Clock EATC Blower, Motor Relay, Door Lock Swich Allumination"
-This and the shift point is the only real reason i suspect this MM was a PI.

Mainetenace wise what ive done so far since the 2 days ive owned it is

-Did a oil change and put Castrol Full Syntec 5-W20 with Motorcraft oil Filter
-Dropped the pan and refilled with 5 Quarts of Mercon V and replaced the Trans Filter
-Changed Fuel Filter
-Cleaned MAF, Throttle Body, and ran Seafoam thru the power brake booster vacuum hose.

Sometimes I dont know if it was worth the price for the work that needs to be done to it. It has a lot of potential considering how bad I wanted a Moonroof on a 300A. Dont think theres an offical count on the Dealer Aftermarket Moonroof's in 03 but i know its pretty damn rare to begin with.

-This and the shift point is the only real reason i suspect this MM was a PI.There's no such thing as a Marauder Police Interceptor. It may have been used as a police vehicle, but it isn't a PI.
