Who knows about that high quality shop floor coating, which type to use, etc?
I wanna finish off the floor in the new house.

I used Rustoleum over 4 years ago and it holds better than any other product I have used.
My neighbor used the same product and he parks a heavy SUV on it everyday and it looks like new.
The key is a clean and preped surface.

Consider U Kote It.
Very good but not cheap.
Also do it before you do ANYTHING in or to the garage.
And as stated above follow the prep instructions carefully.
If you can $wing it hire a pro!

I used this company for my attached garage, i.e., no chemicals.

I used Rustoleum as well a few years back, havent had any problems what so ever! I did do a lot of prep work and etched it three times but it is worth it in the end and the price is great!

As the others noted above, prep work is the key.

Yeah, from what I am seeing it is at least a week process.
Day 1 is stripping/acid and hosing off
Days 2-3 are letting the concrete dry
Day 4 is coating
Days 5 - 8 are letting that dry before putting anything on it
I should have the time since I get to decide when we move in for the most part. And even if I don't, we can park outside for a week.

Once it gets warmer I will be doing my garage floor with the Rustoleum kit and probably my work shop floor with it as well.

+ What everyone has said!
When I bought my (then new) house the first thing I did, before I even moved in, was to paint the garage floor.
1: Wash garage floor
2: Etch concrete with diluted Muriatic acid.
3: Wash garage floor again.
4: Let dry for a few days
5: Apply a nice coat of 2 part epoxy activated floor paint (Not cheap stuff! = $$$)
The paint has been bulletproof for 16+ years!
I've dropped many tools, bolts and parts on it, rolled my heavy floor jack all over it countless times, driven onto it with wet car tires and left various cars up on jack stands.
It is still a semi-gloss grey with no chipping or peeling.

You may want to consider Race Deck flooring:
